hey i was wondering if its a bad idea to have my baby at home i am 13 and i am at high risk for preterm labor

it is not a bad idea at all having your baby at home, i gave birth to my boy at home also. it was amazing! however, you will need an established relationship with a midwife who does homebirths for as long as possible before delivery, you need to be able to trust her completely. also, you need to live near a hospital in case somethings up. one down side thou: i don't know of any midwifes who do homebirths when there is a high risk pregnancy. they usually don't do risky things, especially preterm labor, when - under circ_mstances - medical help (which can not be given at home) is needed immediately. i would not take any risks. you and your baby's well being is the most important thing and giving birth - even if i don't like hospitals at all - at home isn't as important as your well being. even thou i'd recomend it to everybody with a no or low risk pregnancy. good luck
