no tattooist will give you one while you are pregnant.

I have a friend that is a tottoo artist and she says that it is safe it will just eritate you more because you are more sinsitive to the pain.

Your friend just wants money. You will gain weight and that tattoo will not look the same once youve had the baby and you habe lost the weight.

most people don't realize the risks a__sociated with tattoos. Your chances of having a clot form, break free, and become lodged in one of the deep veins of your legs, brain, or heart, resulting in stroke or death, increase. And, they definately increase while you are pregnant. Your blood volume increases while you are pregnant, which means you produce more platelets that can clump together and cause these clots. Also, certain inks (especially the red) contain heavy metals which can be harmful to your baby. Not to mention the chance of infection which has a better chance of going systemic while you are pregnant because your body is so focused on growing that baby that it affords little effort to fighting off disease. Also, no tattoo place will give you a tattoo if they know you are pregnant, unless they want to lose their license. My advice to you is to wait until you deliver, and lose the baby weight so you can really enjoy your new tattoo.
