Water Breaking

This question may seem sort of strange but it is really puzzleing me. What are the odds of your water breaking in the bathtub? Will it be noticeable? I am pregnant with my first child and have no clue what to expect.I have searched on the internet all morning with no avail. Has anyone heard anything about this?

They say it is safe, even to swim...when your water breaks you will know...for one thats usually when the contractions begin to intensify extremely...but even if not, when you get out of the tub you will have a constant leaking...it wont stop for quite a while...good luck

I remember when mine broke at the hospital I kinda felt a pop in my belly and the water gushed, it was a little relieving also. Before it completely broke it was a constant trickle. I think you would just know if it were to happen in the tub.

I was in the pool yesterday just floating around in a raft...the water is constantly warm anyway and I was wearing shorts. So...when I got out (which I kind of strained myself) I just had a weird warmer feeling in between my legs. As we were walking back to our apartment I told me dh that I thought my water had broken, so I stook there and nothing gushed out. Could it have popped in the raft and me not have known? It was sort of a different wetness, more like a stickier kind of wet between my legs. Any thoughts? =0) Thanks

Ohhhh Maddie, are the pains in your back low? Then do they go straight to your bump? Thats what my contractions were like with my 2nd baby. My waters have never broke with either of my babies till they were out. So I don't know what the feelings are like, although I have been told that it feels like one long pee that goes on and on!

my lamaze instructor said you may not notice while in the water. but once you get out...you should keep leaking water.

my water broke at Sears. Thought maybe I was just leaking pee. But kept up for an hour, went to hospital, was definately my water breaking! You'll know when your water breaks, it'll be like the pee that wouldn't go away!

with my second baby my water broke while i was in labour at the hospital, in the tub. i had no clue, and neither did the nurses because none of us could figure out where it went when i got out! the doctor wanted to do it for me, then saw that it had already been done! i didn't feel a thing, and the water looked the same....
