I am 37. This is my first pregancy, 39 weeks, my due date is august, 29. So far I don't have any signs of labor. My doctor scheduled to induce me on 9/9/05, which is 11 days after my due date. Does Any one heard about the placenta starts to deteriorate after 40 weeks especially in those wowen over 35???. please advice!

I was sleeping and I awoke to what I thought was a pop. Maybe it was? It scared me awake. I felt very wet. I thought I had leaked urine and got up to finish. I couldn't stop going. It was amnio fluid, my water had broke. The hospital told me to come in. I didn't have contractions until about 15-30 mins later. When they started they were very faint, but got increasingly more painful.

Hi any, I am 40yo and my due date is also the 29th.still nothing. I am not even scheduled for induction. Has anything happened with you?

I was asleep and was waken up by contractions. I thought they were false so I waited about 3 hours before my husband got up and made me go to the hospital. I'm glad he did. By the time I got there, I was in quite a bit of pain.
