I am 36 weeks pregnant and my last OB checkup was on Friday 5/27/05. My doctor did an exam and said I was one centimeter dilated. I have two baby showers this week - one is on Thursday 6/2/05 and the other is on Sunday 6/5/05... will I make it to the shower(s)?

my money is on yes. one cm is nothing...i walked around dilated to 3 for over a month. dilation does not = delivery.

I think you probably will, I was one cm when I was about 7 months pregnant & some women are one cm the whole time, I think you have nothing to worry about, but when that baby is ready it is ready, I hope you get to make it...and good luck on this new baby :)

I was dilated 1 cm for around a 1 1/2 months so yeah you'll probably make it. I'm 40+4 and 3 cm and still going.
