Anybody Know Pros Cons Of Using Primrose Oil

I have heard that taking evening primrose oil capsules both orally and va___aly can help induce labour but I can't find much info on it. Does anybody know anything??

I started taking it a week ago and am now 2 cm dialated and almost ready to go. I am only 38 weeks. So I think it is helping. Good Luck.

I too would love to know if any one has used them also, I plan to start with 3 a day at 27-28 weeks ( is this to soon?)

Hey Naomi, I have a herbal chilbearing book and it says not to start taking evening primrise oil until your at least 36 weeks! Because to this day, midwives still are careful with the the power of it with effacing and ripening the cervix and would not want it to happen too early! Wait until you're at least fullterm!! I started taking it at 37 weeks and a week later I was already 90% effaced, it's awesome!!!
