Im not sure who this lady is that is calling herself "a midwife" but for every single post she has said " sounds like labor could be on it way" I really dont think that she should be giving false hope, besides what is a midwife doing up at quarter to 4 on a thursday. lol who knows but anyways, they sound just as they are, braxton hicks. I am having my 2nd child and have had BH for 2 months now. sometimes they would be painless, sometimes my stomach gets soo tight I cant breathe and sometimes I have extreme back pain, I guess the only way to tell if they are doing their job is to go in and find out if you are dialating.

I am with you, I am 35 weeks also, except I had to have my appendix removed at 30 1/2 weeks and labor stopped with mag. At 32 weeks I had to have labor stopped again with mag. At 32 1/2 weeks i was dilated at two and effaced about 20, since then I have also had the lower back pain, pressure on my cervix and rectum, and b-hicks. Now I am 35 weeks almost dilated at a 4 and about 50% effaced. My doctor said over a period of time with b-hicks even though they are not real contractions they can cause you to dilate. I would call your doctor, and have him check to see if you are dilated or effaced any. And so what if they are b-hicks, it will give you piece of mind to know, you'll sleep better. Good luck
