Herniated Disc In Lumbar Spine

has anyone given birth with a herniated disc (i mean herniated prior to pregnancy)? I'm pretty nervous. I went au natural last time, no drugs at all and it went well, but this time I have the herniated disc and doc says cannot have epidural. So between no drugs and herniated disc I have a feeling it's going to be VERY painful.

Can they give you IV pain meds?

I'm not sure, I'm only 4 weeks 4 days, so haven't asked yet, just hoping this pregnancy gets past the 7 week mark before I ask her.
