How Many Went Into Labor After Membranes Stripped

i went into the docs today and they stripped my membranes. i have been having contractions all morning. i also feel like im going to throw up. i am dialated to a 2 and 60% effaced and this is my second so the head had dropped some. how many of you have gone into labor from having your membranes stripped? she said it shoul happen in 24 hours...

I had my membranes stripped 2 days ago and have yet to have any real contractions and I was 2 1/2 cm and 50% effaced. I've tried the evening primrose oil caplets(1000mg) and have been putting those in every night for the past 3days and I did manage to lose my plug but I guess this baby(#3) is just plain stubborn. :)

I had mine stripped with my first two babies and it caused me to go into labor that very same night, but with baby #3 it is a different story. I was 3cm dilated at the time and have managed to lose my mucus plug, but no sign of active labor.

i had my membranes stripped two or 3 times with my first. made my contractions horrible but i had to be induced anyways.

Ok, so my wife is scheduled to have her membranes stripped at the 37th week....why would they do this if she isn't due for another 3 weeks? Will she go into Labor early?? I guess these postings made me confused.

I had my membrane stripped with my 2nd child. My water broke a week later.
