or at least i think i am.....been haing contractions for about 5 hours. went for a walk and they were coming every 10 mins or so, got home had a bath and they calmed down....now they have started again! will call hospital in a couple of hours, gonna start timing them.

I would try and keep walking if you can. Try and help the baby put pressure on your cervix! If you are comfortable. Good Luck!

hi ya, story so far - contractions were getting worse, i started gagging again and as i did my waters broke. this was about 10.30 last night (its now 7am) and since then the contractions have pracitcally stopped! have had 20 mins sleep all night! am getting very tired and very very frustrated. midwife said to go to hospital whenever i want but the pains isnt strong or regular enough for me yet. am gonna try to get some sleep, then will go in to see how far dilated i am. will let you all know if anything happen...........if i get time, lol.

Once your water is broken, you should go to the hospital. An infection can set in if your water is broken too long--labor or no labor. best to you and your little one!

Usually they give you the option to induce if you're at term and your water broke. Mine did w/ dd1 and my contractions stopped. I opted to induce...couldn't wait another minute.lol. I'm answering late and of course by now she probably had her baby...
