I got my membraines stripped this morning my doc told me i was 3 1/2 cen. dilated and 90% effaced i haven't really felt any contractions just a few here and there but they arent regular. could i go into labor tonight.

I heard membrane stripping can be effective within 48 hours, but some women don't have any results with it at all, but if you are already dilated over 3 cm and 90% effaced then I bet it won't take more than a couple days for you to go into labour. GL!

Hi, I was in the exact same situation that you are in when I was nearing the end with my third child. I didn't go into labor until a week after my membranes were stripped. But I know others who have gone into labor within 48 hours.
