what does the mucus plug look like,and how long after you loose it do you go into actual labor?

well, i vagly remember since the last time i saw mine was 4 years ago, but it was bloody and i went into labour right away. the contractions started right away.

You can lose it as you start dialating. I lost mine at 30 weeks (9weeks ago) during preterm labor. It looked very mucusy, like I blew my nose on a tissue. It keeps trying to regenerate too so I have a mucusy discharge every so often. I still haven't gone into labor but am hoping it will happen soon!

I haven't lost my mucus plug yet, but a friend aid that after she lost hers she went into labor about an hour later.. and I heard it can take up to two weeks.
