Hi Amy - my pills are 200mg, yours sound incredibly potent. If you trust the nutristionist go with her, I took one 3 times a day, your dose sounds really high but as I said I am not an expert. I came on time the first time; but I did everything together so I don't know what really worked, I had reflexology the day I went into labour, ate a pineapple, had been taking blue cohosh for a week; and also used clary sage in the bath, so not sure what pushed me, it might have just been my time.
I am now 39 weeks and my back is in so much pain I can't do anything, luckily mum flying in to help today.
Hang in there, it'll be over soon! Good luck to all of us!

37 weeks. ive been in sooo much pain for a while now and its just getting worse. so much pain and pressure, it's to the point when there are times i can't even walk. just this morning i had to crawl to the washroom. today i tried pineapple, hot water bottle on my b___sts, pressure points, i even done some hard house work and aswell masturbated and NOTHING! well, i had lots of pain and pressure as usual but no labor contractions. i just dont understand. with all the pain and stress i have and dealing with 2 other small kids, i dont get how i have went into labor yet. i mean how much can a body stand? well, i guess my question is, is there anyone out there that can relate and if so have u requested help from your doctor to nudge you along or have you even requested an induction and he was in favour with you? i have to see my dr in a couple days and im gonna talk with him about all this and hope for the best. i just find for the dr to even listen to us we may have to be pushy. they just keep saying it's all normal. well, what i'm feeling may not be and if it is im not gonna put up with it if my baby is ready to come!!!

hi ladies, its angie again 37 weeks. i visited my dr today, but he was on call so i was left with another dr. dont ya just hate that? anyway i talk to this dr about all the pain im having and how it is iterfering with our family life, with my husband having to take so much time off work in order to take care of me and the kids and this dr said when i come back next week, talk to my dr about it and he doesnt see any reason why he wouldnt induce early, due to the fact at 38 weeks the baby's organs are all developed. so if u are having problems in your pregnancy and questioning wether to ask for a early induction, i say do so!!

I had both of my sons the same day I drank 4 oz. of castor oil blended with OJ. I have heard that women who are successful with this are those that drink it close to their due date. With my first, I was 6 days over due. I drank the castor oil at 4:00 pm, started having diarrhea at 7 pm (for about 2-3hours) then my water broke at 10:00 pm, we went to the hospital at 12pm and he was born at 6:00 am. With my second son,(4 days before due date) I drank the castor oil and OJ at 6:00 pm, had diarrhea from 10-12pm, went to sleep, woke up at 3:30 am with contractions, went to the hospital (water broke on the way) and he was born at 5:00 am. I have to be honest in telling you that about 3 hours after drinking the castor oil, I was going to the bathroom with diarhhea for about 2-3 hours., but I think that this is what brings on labor. This worked twice for me-but I have heard it doesn't work for evryone. I am pregnant with my third and due next week. If baby doesn't make an appearance by my due date-I will drink it again. Remember-I have heard that the key is to drink it close to your due date!!!! Good luck

Well, I'm 6 days overdue and getting desperate. I was reading the natural labour induction comments and one woman said 15 prunes would do the same as castor oil. So ibought some prunes, ate a whole c___pload of em, and.... NOTHING!!!! I didn't even have a BM. It's weird cause when I was kid I loved prunes but even eating 6 gave me the runs. So About 15 minutes ago I poured 1 TBSP of castor oil in a strawberry yogurt and banana smoothie and downed it. I know the dose is 1-4 ounces, but I am really scared of taking it, so small steps. Anyone use less than 1 oz and have it work?

I am pregnant for the 2nd time. I have an 11 month old and I am 38 weeks 5 days today. I went to the dr 6 days ago I was dilated 2.5 cm and effaced 70%. With both of my children I have tried everything to naturally start labor other then drinking castor oil. That I will not do. My Dr did recommend it, but i'm not that brave. I've walked walked walked, had s_x, nipple stimulation, pressure points, mowed the lawn, scrubbed my floors, had spicey food, put a heat pad over my b___sts, did loads of yard work, walked up and down stairs, had several orgasms. The baby just wont come :( My last one didn't either My dr induced me 5 days before my due date. My dr told me If I dont have the baby by tomorrow (my next appt.) He will schedule to induce me this weekend. Mothers day of course what a great day to have a baby. I should be relaxing but I will be either in the hospital or in labor how fun is that. If your that unhappy about still being pregnant most doctors will induce you. Good Luck to all of you ladies because nothing works unless the baby is ready. S_x, mowing the lawn, and nipple stimulation all gave me contractions, but they weren't hard and they stopped fairly quickly. The castor oil thing seems like the best bet, i'm just not that brave. Id rather not be on the toilet for hours if I can help it.

How PATHETIC are some of you ladies...GROWN WOMEN and you're saying things like 'im 30 weeks pregnant and hope to have delivered by 37 weeks'....its not up to YOU to decide when your baby is born, he/she will decide when they are READY! thats why labour begins, because your baby has decided enough is enough and they want out!
