smilefull? are you there or have you had your baby yet? did you do any of the exercises to help the baby move down?

I've tried them but no luck yet. I'm constantly "going into labour"--the nurses at the hospital's words, but she's in the wrong position so it keeps stopping---and my back is sooooo sore--my whole body hurts, and it radiates from my spine. I'm sooo fed up. My doctor is impossible to see or talk to because she works at a walk in clinic, and all of last night I had such bad pain, and this morning--and I didn't want to go to the hospital because the contractions are irregular. So I went to her office and sat there for an hour in fricken back labour and the ladies there said "oh she's always late". I ended up just leaving coming home and crying--in pain. Told my husband to go back to work--now I'm looking after my son. Then I started phoning every obstetrician in this area and most of them said "no, we don't take patients that late" or they're booked up, or the doctor is gone till mid Oct. I'm so lost. I need a medical professional to talk to--feel like I'm doing this alone, without a doctor.

Wow I'm sorry to hear that. Where do you live anyway? I wonder if your baby is stuck. That one exercise where you stick your b___t up in the air is to help if the baby is stuck. I'm not a dr but I'd have thought she'd have moved down now. Have you tried walking? Jogging? Squats? Anything that works good with gravity like that? When are/were you due again? I forgot but think I saw somewhere. I can't believe you're still going through this. Can you make an appt at your doc? When do they open? My advice would be to get there before the doors open tomorrow if you make it till then.

Smileful-so sorry to hear about your doc troubles...I'm not sure if I read this in one of your other posts but is she sunnyside up? That could be the problem. I know you probably don't want to but if you're in that much pain, I would go back to the hospital and demand to be checked out again...you shouldn't be suffering like this! I was trying everything also to get her to get into position and it seemed to be working...then I got sick..and now it feels like she's floated back up! Ugh...I feel your pain. One day I will have horrible back pain and cramps and the next day nothihg...hang in there.

cattac-I live in Vancouver,Canada. I think she did move down--that's why the terrible pain. I was due yesterday, and this morning I was at the docs at 8:45, they open at 9..but 10 and she still hadn't seen me and the pain was too much to just sit there. thank you so much for the advice on the positions, I keep trying the but in the air and the other one, but jogging/squats is so not going to happen due to how I feel right now. (;---Hannahsmommy- thank you for posting in both my posts. (; yes, she's posterior, that's what the nurse said at the hospital. At the hospital the nurses evaluate you but they don't want you in there unless you have regular contractions. I phoned there first this morning before going down to my evil doctor. I'm sorry to hear you're babe started floating again! Must be a second pregnancy-girl combo thing? Sounds like we have similar symptoms. (; Hang in there chica

smilefull...you in the hospital yet? Did you make it to the dr this morning?

Smilefull - September 21

cattac! hey! no, I ended up filing complaint against that doc. Grr, girl power. And got to see a highly competant doc today--that's super-overqaulified yey!!! He did a full evaluation, even did the ultrasound himself. 2cm dilated, 40% effaced, baby confirmed posterior, VERY VERY ACTIVE (the nurses were all very amused) oh and she looks JUST LIKE my husband. Poor girl---my hubby is a manly man. Anyways, how are you doing? DO TELL!

Smileful-you said something in one of your other posts that you thought this new doctor might admit you right away...what's the plan??

cattac - September 22

Hey Smilefull...good to hear from you! Not sure if you're still around or not because I also read in one of your other posts you may have been admitted in the hospital last night. I am doing fine. I'm ready to have this baby in some ways some ways not. Tomorrow I'll be 35 weeks. WIth my first pregnancy my first son measured 7 1/2 pounds at the 37 week ultrasound and 9 lbs at birth at 38 1/2 weeks. I didn't think this baby was going to be as big but maybe so...I'm just getting so big and dont even remember being this uncomfortable last time...plus I've had back pain this time which has been awful because I have a 22 month old son that weighs 35 lbs and just moved away from my family so there went my help and my husband works all day! Unfortunately I think my son is about to start going through a really bad stubborn stage (I think some call it the terrible 2's?!) so it's going to be rough for awhile I have a feeling. UGH. Let me know what's going on with you. I'm glad you're now going to a decent doctor.
