This is my first baby, my due date is in 5 days and I have just started to have contractions...... I have been at a 1cm for almost 3 weeks now and the baby still has not engaged. The doctor thinks that it is possible that the baby's head may be too large for my pelvis and this is the reason that he hasn't engaged yet. Doc wants me to come back Sat. to see if anything has changd and if not, will schedule me for a c-sec. So now I have to deal with these contractions for a few more days, they aren't terrible, but some are really painful.
This happen to anyone else? Any chance that some miracle could happen and the baby will position himself before Sat.? I really don't want to have a c-sec.
