hi does anyone know if having a tattoo on your lower back interferes with your ability to have an epidural at all??

It doesn't interfere. I have one on my lower back and I had an epidural. It didn't affect it. Don't worry. Good luck. BTW, mine is right where they put the epidural.

i think if u have a tatoo on ur lower back they will move the needle higher, the dr. told my sister that the ink can get in ur blood stream.
but i would check with ur dr.
