Water Braking In Water

Has anyone ever had their water brake while taking a shower or bath. If so, besides contractions how would you know it broke?

I was wondering the same thing. I was scared, I may not know. I was told that even if it breaks with a gush, it'll continue to leak out for a while afterwards. Anyone ever had their water break and not know??

With my first they broke my water to start labour and with every contraction, until birth some would gush out (like a heavy menstrual period). I am 41 weeks 3 days right now and this afternoon I am taking my 6 years old swimming at the community pool. She won’t go in without me so I guess I’m going in! My question is if my water breaks in the pool how will I know and how dangerous would that be infection wise?

With my first child they went in to break my water in the hospital and they said it had all ready broken. I was of course having contractions, but I don't know when my water broke. They said it was possible that it broke while taking my shower at home and I just didn't realize it. It didn't cause any problems. I just wanted to let you know that it is possible to happen without you really knowing. But hopefully you'll be like me and be having contactions as well. I'm 38 weeks now with my 3rd and hoping I'll go soon. Good luck!

Because water isn`t the only thing that comes out.

A friend of mine had her water break in the shower. when your water breaks you can feel it come out. She said she still felt it and in about 2 minutes her contractions were 10 times worse.
