Mine was copious amounts of pink, stretchy mucus that kept coming for hours. It started at 1:00 am, and I had early labor contractions the whole day. By 4:00 am the next day I was in active labor.

Mine was several globs of snotty looking sticky discharge, a couple of times streaked brown. It started coming out 2 weeks before baby!

after reading your question I was curiouse as to what the difference was between a mucus plug and the blood show, and everything that I read said that they are the same thing, "bloody show" is just a name given to when your mucus plug comes out. Which is what I thought, but then because of your question I thought they might be 2 different things Bloody Show Definition: A mucousy, pink, red, or brown tinged discharge from the v____a. This usually indicates that the cervix is opening. It may or may not signal labor. Also Known As: Mucous Plug.

My bloody show was stretchy mucus/goo streaked with pinkish and redish discharge. After I had the bloody show my son came 6 hours later.

I firmly believe that even though they are often referred to as the same thing they are not. In my case I lost my "mucus plug" about a week before labor started. The day labor began I started having copious amounts of bloody fluid leaking. The Doc and nurses referred to this as "bloody show". Where the plug was a GLOB of snotty goo the 'bloody show' was more liquid. Very much like a period. It was rather gross. Hope this helps!!

well I believe that my mucus plug came out when the doc sweeped me. It was thick gooey yellow mucus. I don't know how else to describe it. I thought there would be some brownish color or red streaked but it was yellow. I don't know but it didn't look like the normal mucus that has been coming out since the middle of pregnancy, So I am a__suming that it was the mucus plug that was two weeks ago and I am now getting contractions. But very irregular in times some strong and some weak. I was a centimeter dialated on Tuesday when the doc checked me. But I think with all the contractions I have been having I must be dialated more now.

the bloody show is actually bloody I experienced it while I was in the hospital in labour. I delivered a very cute baby girl on the 23rd. 36 hours of hard labour.

well ive been bleeding off and on the last week (bleed real bad yesterday) adn ive lost what i thought was all of my mucus plug 2 weeks ago but just went to the restroom adn had more bloody goop come out :| adn im over due with no sign of baby coming soon.....

I started bleeding some with increased discharge a couple days before I went into labor, my cervix was dilating more...I lost my mucous plug the day I was in labor after being in labor for a while, I lost 2 big clumps at 2 different times, it looked like a big glob of bloody snot basically...
