What happens when your water beaks? Is it actualy water? Is their alot, and what does it feel like

it's not water, it's ammniotic fluid. it can look slightly yellow or slightly pink and it's got kind of a slimey texture to it. the ammount depends on the break. i had a small tear and it felt like i was peeing my pants every 15 minutes. when i got to the hospital they "broke" it and it was like a river came gushing out of me. once your water breaks most doctors want baby out in 24-48 hours becasue of possible infection.

When my water broke it was a gush and it felt like I was going to the bathroom with no effort!! :0) It was a weird feeling.

If you are swimming, taking a bath, or something else where you are submerged in water...would you know if your water had broken?
