I'm just beginning this quest to become pregnant at 45. My OBGYN is referring me to an RE Enocryn Specialist and she mentioned donor eggs. I am crushed. I really desire my own baby not a donor. Am I being unreasonable? Can a 45 year old woman have healthy eggs? Going for bloodwork during my next period so I'll ensure I'm not in menopause...no symptoms yet. Any hope of using my own eggs? Anything I can do to increase FSH levels?

Hey Colleen, I am 47 and trying to conceive also. We figure on trying for a while before we seek other alternatives. Actually we are hoping that we have already been successful. I am 7 days late but have not had a positive HPT test yet. I am still hopeful it will show positive within the next week or so. Good luck.

Hi Collen. I'm 45 and I just found out that I'm pregnant. We've been trying for over 2 years and I tought it won't happen. It did. I'm scared, but happy.

Hi Colleen, I'm 44 and just m/c. The drs are so discouraging, I guess fear of complications. We are going to try again though, because I think the problem is with clots. Also, some women may have low progesterone. Be sure to check your levels, as that may speed things up. Congrats to Charlotte and Krystyna! Wish you the best:)
