HI. I went to the doctor to confirm whether I had conceived or not,which led to blood tests and a va___al ultrasound. The lady doing the ultrasound said I was 4wks and one day.The ultrasound showed the sac,but nothing else.I am supposed to go back 2wks later for another one. Should I be worried of blighted ovum?

4 weeks is very early to see something on an US, did you have a HcG blood test done. That is the blood test that measures the quant_ty of PG hormone. That would be a good indicator of successful pregnancy or not. I do think 4 weeks for your first US is early to see anything. At my first US at 7 w, we could just see a white rice shaped baby with a fluttering heart. so 3 weeks before that I couldn't imiagine seeing anything. Take a breath and stay positive. I am sure all is OK.

Yeah, at 4 weeks to EVEN see a sac is really positive sign. Many women don't even see a sac. Eyebee is right, you need to watch how your Hcg numbers are doubling...however, some dcs don't even bother with those unless there's a problem. Remember, a single HCG number (especially at 4 weeks) wont' tell you a whole lot...it's whether the number doubles after 48 hours....good luck.
