yes I went through the same thing. Your HCG levels should double every two days and if not then you could have a miscarriage. That is what happened to me. See if your DR. can do a progesterone test as well this also can give you an idea of what to expect. If the progesterone is low you can go on supplements and it helps. If the HCG level is low then just start to prepare for the worst but always expect the best. Good things happen.

wendy-thanks for your reply. I am already preparing for the worst. it's just the not knowing-its horrible. will progesterone supplements be offered to me when the likelyhood is that I will miscarry. My doctors advice was "Let nature take its course, if you are going to miscarry, you'll miscarry". So I ended up referring mysely to the Early pregnancy a__sessment unit, who scanned me and did the tests for me. The scan was inconclusive. I really don't think my doctor will do anything for me...other than tell me to wait and see. I am an emotional wreck right now. I am so sorry to hear that you have had a similar experience.

We just went throught the same thing. My levels were higher but didn't double and I miscarried at 6 weeks. My doctor also mentioned progesterone pills. We are just playing the waiting game to see if we a pregnant this month.

Kay- I hope you are pregnant again. its such a hard thing to go through. I already miscarried in April, but I had heavy bleeding then. Not like this. Let me know if you get a positive result. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Take Care.

Lynn My levels where 51 at 6 weeks, I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. In my case the levels remained between 50 and 100 for over a week - I had an ectopic pregnancy. However, wait for the next results and have positive thoughts that the numbers will be high! Do not loose hope yet. I sure didn't even though it did not pan out ... hoping is right thing to do! I am going throught something similar. I found out i was pregnant on July 14. My hcg level was at 41%.The following days i was spotting then it went to heavy bleeding. It's now the 25 and I am still spotting. I went for another test on the 18th and the results came in as 37%. I ma very worried but prepared for the worst. This my second child. I didn't have any problems with her and she is 8 now. Can anyone tell me there is hope...

Hey Shel, thanks for your reply and yes we are still hanging in there. My daughter tells me it's gonna be ok and that she doesn't want to be an only child. It's just really hard to just sit and wait to see the DR.

Yes, I started with lower back pains and I had some brown discharge and staining when I would clean myself. I went to see the doctor and she told me the baby's heart had stopped beating, I had a second opinion and they did a Vaginal ultrasound and they confirmed this. I was told the fetus had died around 7 or 8 weeks, I found out Sept 14th, and I decided to miscarry naturally to avoid a D/C this painfully happend on Sept 21st. I was able to see my little baby in its sac. I would always do as the doctor says, but also have a second opinion and have a Vaginal Ultrasound to see the baby's heart beat.

yes, my level is 11,but i have no discharge or any bleeding. the levels are getting checked tomorrow.

I'm going through the same thing right now on Friday my HCg levels were at 22 then on Monday they were at 46 then today they were only 51, My doctor said its probably not a "good" pregnancy. My back hurts a little and my legs hurt like i ran or walked to much, but I'm not bleeding so I have to go get my HCg levels checked again. Good Luck

Hi! I just had a miscarriage at 51/2 weeks pregnant, my levels were at 100, have to get blood work in 1 week. did anyone wait until there next cycle to try and conceive again or did you try right away? My doctor told me I do not need a d&c so i could try right away once my levels reach below five, so that is what i would like to do, does anyone now if your chances go up for conceiving multiples. thank you.

grabosky~~~ I misscarried at 4 weeks exactly and I didn't need a D&C so I was able to try right away, how ever I only had one normal cycle after the misscarriage and two ab-normal ones including this cycle that I am on right now!
