I got my HCG back and they are increasing! That's good news, but they still can't see a baby yet. I do have a fedal pole, but heartbeat. Maybe it's just too early. I go back in two weeks for another u/s. I'm putting onto Jesus, because I can't handle the pressure of not yet.

Hi everyone...here's my story, I got pregnant beginning of May, right away my doc made me take u/s, did 4 all together. Right off then they told me that it seemed to be an empty sac, there was yolk but no fetus. So I was 9 weeks, and my doctor told me to take the meds to miscarriage, I waited went for a 2nd opinion a week after and we found out that clots were already descending, so I took the meds, miscarriage and then ended up having to do a emergency d & c because part of it stayed in there, so after my surgery which is not that bad a bit painful, you feel very week after and I had complications, so back in er 2 more times, I had fever, lots of heavy bleeding, clots. Was home for 3 weeks but I'm better now, just got my period, my surgery was aug 18 and my period only lasted 2 days, but it will take time to get normal again. Its a very hard time going through this mentally and physically. I really wanted my baby it was my first but I guess God had other plans.
All the best for you, Vera

Jennifer--- its not about increasing, its about if its doubling... How much did it go up?

Jennifer... there really isn't a set number that they should be at (for the most part) but, they should AT LEAST double every 48 hours. Like for instance... My HCG was 134 and 46 hours later it was 370 (11 days after conception). It more than doubled, which was great... but, it really only needs to double. I've had 3 miscarriages and all of them the HCG was just going up somewhat, but never doubling.

Ladies, at six weeks you should be able to see a baby and have a hertbeat. Sometimes it may take longer for some women, but normally you can see the fetal pole, the baby and have a hertbeat at six to seven weeks. If you don't see anything at seven weeks, ask your doctor (insist) to repeat the untrasound at least two more times, tow weeks apart. If you still cannot see anything, it is a "blighed ovum". This is a common occurency and you can (and you will) get pregnant again and have a normal and health baby. This happened to me. I was sad when I had a blighted ovum, but God knows what he is doing in your life. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and time I was able to see the baby at 7 weeks this time. Good luck and may God make your dreams come true. Also, if you ladies have so many questions, call your doctor! That si what he is there for! You are paying him to asnwer your questions! Make him work for you! :)

Ana- yea... I seen the fetal pole, and the heart flicker at 5 weeks 6 days.... and my dr. said that the earliest they usually can ever detect a flicker is at 6 weeks 2 days... (and I know my date of conception)... So, I am feeling much better about this one. Unlike my last 3 m/c's. Plus, its so much bigger so earlier. I think you just have that "gut" feeling if something isn't right.

I am pregnant for 6 weeks and 4 days and the doctor told me he cant find the gestational sac. I dont have bleeding/abdominal pain. Anyone can explain to my situation? Is this Ectopic pregnancy? This is my 1st pregnancy and i am 32 years old and we wait this baby for 9 years so i really dont know how to cope with this situation.

Fenny- at 6 weeks they usually start to exclude ectopic (I had an ectopic that ruptured my right fallopian tube).... So, it may not be that... but, I guess the question is... What is your HCG, and are they doubling?? Because, you may not be as far along as you thought.... They also cannot see a gestational sac on an ultrasound until your HCG hits 2000. So, if its less than that, they may not see it. So, it truly depends on your HCG levels at the early stages.

Fenny,
It could ou that you are not as far along as you think. I woul try not to worry until you get another ultrasound. I know how hard it is. I just had a D&E because of an empty sac at 10 weeks. I have 2 beautiful healthy children and it hurt just as bad. It is amazing how the instant you are pregnant you connect with your child. Stay positive. I will pray for you that this all works out.

Daniella and Kim, its nice to hear from you, your answers give me comfort and i truly appreaciate. I dont know my HCG level yet the doctor didnt discuss me about that, actually im here in Japan and my Japanese is not so fluent but he can speak english but not ellaborate all the details. I ask my docotr and he just told me that no gestational sac seen at 6 weeks and 4 days and i ask him and he answer me back that way, its scared me so much and cant sleep since thursday after hearing that news. I am going back to another ultasound by sept. 30 but im already afraid for the results. My heart really broke if we hear another news but im trying to be strong. Thanks for all the stories published in this site its really a big help to anyone like me who dont know were to go. Thanks to all of you. Hope and pray everything will be alright.

Fenny--- what are you doing in Japan?? and what part?? Also, I would call the office on Monday and asked them what your HCG levels were at. because if its under 2000 then of course they wouldn't be able to see anything... They go by your LMP (last period) to determine how far you are... Which I think, is dumb, because a lot of times you DONT ovulate on exactly day 14, and if you ovulate late.... your not going to be as far as you thought.... I surely hope this works out. You can email me directly at "jarhead4me2@aol.com" if you'd like... I'm in Japan also. Originally from Chicago.

I am new to this board and am experiencing the same thing. I am 7 weeks pregnant and had my 2nd ultrasound today. There was a 2nd sac but it was much smaller than the healthy fetus and they didn't see anything in the 2nd sac. Is it still possible that this is a twin??
