My LMP was 1/25, but my first ultrasound is showing that I am 7 wks, rather than 8. That doesn't concern me too much due to the fact that I have a somewhat irregular cycle. What I do need advice on is that the u/s showed a "cyst". As the doctor explained this over the phone, my head began spinning and I didn't really ask her the questions that came to mind later. At this stage, would the u/s show a cyst on the baby, or do you think it was a cyst in my uterus. I have had to have uterine polyps removed in the past, could this be another case of that, and is so, will it cause complications in the pregnancy. This is my second child, but my first is almost 13, so I'm pretty much starting over. Excited as can be, but also more nervous than the first time around.

Well, I'm not any expert by any means, but at my 5w u/s the tech said she saw a little cyst - in my lower left uterus. My 9w u/s showed a fibroid lower in my uterus (she didn't say which side). I've been wondering if the "cyst" they thought they saw was actually the fibroid, and now its grown because of the hormones? My doc said not to worry at this point, but that we will have to keep an eye on it. I don't know about cysts on the baby - I think the odds are it is on you.

I am pregnant with my third child and when I had my first u/s with this one the doctor saw a small cyst. She said it was nothing to worry about and on my second u/s it was gone.Dont know what that was all about but I hope it makes you feel a little better. Oh, my secound u/s was at 20 weeks. Good luck!

Thanks Michelle. I actually talked to the doctor again and she explained what you just said. It should disappear on its own by my 20 week ultrasound.

Do you mind telling me if you are still measuring a little low and what the doctor thinks?
