Blighted Ovum And Normal Embryo

My wife is 8-week pregnant. An ultrasound screening revealed she has a normal embryo and a "blighted ovum" or an "empty gestational sac". The gyn/obs asked us to come back next week for further check up. One option mentionned is to drain the empty sac of its fluid, but by doing so it can provoke a spontaneous abortion which would also affect the healthy embryo. The problem is that the empty sac is taking too much room, about 3 times the size of the healthy embryo.
Please let me know if there are ways of saving our healthy embryo, and websites that deal with this issue.
Thank you. Moon.
