Defects Complications In Post Miscarriage Pregnancies

I don't know where to put this question so I'll try here...I had a miscarriage in February and got pregnant again in March. So far things look ok, but I was talking to a girlfriend of mine who had the same situation a year ago (miscarriage december/pregnant in january) and she carried the pregnancy to term, but she's having tons of really serious issues with her child. Does anyone have any positive/negative stories to share about births where the pregnancy happened right after a miscarriage?
