Early Ultrasound To Detect Pregnancy

My husband and I suffered from an ovarian pregnancy in September, 2004. The egg actually attached to the inside of my right ovary and burst. I lost only 1/4 of my ovary. After trying to conceive again for three months, I requested an ultrasound to make sure everything healed correctly. I go in a couple of days (March 9th) to get the ultrasound done, I was wondering if they would be able to detect pregnancy? My next period is due March 14, 2005, I was supposed to ovulate around March 1 so I would be nearly 4 weeks. Any thoughts? Am I too early to be thinking about it?

your best bet would be to can an early detection home preg. test. if you are pregnant a small amout of hcg would be starting to show up in your urine.Or you can ask to have the lab draw some blood(that is most accurate). Ultrasound would not be able to detect a pregnancy at this point.

I had an ultrasound done at about 4 1/2 weeks, both on belly and v____al. They couldn't see anything. I had another one done at 7 weeks and we saw the baby and a heartbeat. Hope that helps. Try a First Result Early Pregnancy Test. It picked mine up at 4 weeks.
