I had a tubal reversal in november 2003 and just found out a few days ago that I am pregnant. I was told I am at high risk for an ectopic pregnancy because of the reversal. I wanted to hear from someone that has had an ep and when did you symptoms first begin? I am so very afraid. thank you

Try to remain calm... About how far along are you? Usually in an ectopic the pregnancy "normally" wouldn't show up on an HPT.. With mine, I was bleeding constantly for three months when I found out I was pregnant - they had to do a blood test, didn't have much time to get exctied before it was discovered it was an ectopic. Get to the doctor as soon as you can to confirm pregnancy - A lot of the times they can tell by HCG levels and if you still want more proof, have them do a sonogram when you about 6-7 weeks. Any sign of blood or any sign of cramping, get to the doctor asap... Good luck!!
(oh, btw, my ectopic... my right tube burst and had to have it removed, it took 4 years, but I am now 7 weeks pregnant so keep in mind things have a way of working out for the best...) Take care and God bless!!

Ann..it was so nice to hear from someone...thank you!! My last period was June 23 so I guess I am about 5 weeks along. I have had no cramping, spotting etc...Would I by now I wonder? This coming Thursday I will be 6 weeks and I am having an ultrasound for viability. I have been told it possibly may be to early to see anything yet. If this tube ruptures there will be no chance for me to have any other children because after my tubal reversal only one tube was open. I do still have the other one but it is closed. It's weird though because with my 3 girls I was soooo sick and moody and I don't feel that at all. Maybe it's to soon for morning sickness some people have told me it doesn't come right away. I have sore b___sts and am tired but that's about it. Thanks for all your help. I am a nervous wreck.

I'm in the same boat as you with one tube. My right one burst and was totally disintagrated (sp?) so for me to be pregnant now is something really special and cool - I know where you're coming from! I was sick with my son (11 years ago) but all I have now is a cramp here and there, being pretty tired earlier in the evening and, of course, sore b___sts.. I go to the doctor for the first time Thursday too.. Not sure if they will do an ultrasound, (military doctors are a lot different then civillian) but I will push for one as I have that need to know everything is fine and where it should be kinda thing too... Keep in mind that every pregnancy is different and you might not have all the symptoms you did in other pregnancies... I never threw up until I was pregnant with my son (I had three m/c before him - my ectopic was after him) So just have failth :)

I had my tubes untied last year and got pregnant about 3 months following the procedure, I found out I was pregnant on a Monday and started spotting a little that following Thursday .I had a dr.appt about 3 weeks after I found out I was pregnant and they determined at that time it was a tubal pregnancy ,so beyond a little spotting in the beginnig I had no symptoms. So be careful and get checked out...
Goodluck
