My Doc called with results of my bloodwork. He said it doesn't look good. My HCG level was 14,000 and all we saw was a gestational sac. He said that with levels of 14,000 we should have seen a heartbeat. Here is the thing I am only about 17 days from conception so just seeing a sac was fine that early but not with such high HCG levels. He wants to do another ultrasound next week. Help please. Any comments welcomed.

if you are indeed only 17 days from conception, then there is no way you will see a heartbeat. May be the reason you HCG is high is that you are carrying more that one baby. So try not to worry about it. Ask you doctor about doing serial HCG levels, the HCG hormone suppose to double every 2-3 days, that will tell them if pregnancy is progressing normally.

The same situation here. They tell me that I am only 5 weeks pregnant but my levels are 56,000. So they are leading to believe that I am pregnant with twins. The waiting period really sucks but there is nothing more that you can do...
