age 42 and have a history of down syndrome in my family (aunt). My grandmother had my aunt when she was in her middle 40's and wanted to know if this would increase my risk of having a child with down syndrome.
My last child born was born during my 35th year of age and he was born with Hirschsrungs Disease.

I am considering pregnancy after the age of 42. My grandmother gave birth to a girl with down syndrome when she became pregnant during her 40's. I also gave birth to a boy during my 35th year of age who has Hirshsprungs Disease. I did'nt know if these two cases would increase my risk of giving birth during my 40's as well
