Low Progesterone And Small Sac Please Help

I am 10 weeks pregnant now. I have been having bleeding for 2 weeks now. Sometimes brown but mostly red. The doctor said that my progesterone level was very low (6.2) and that chances were very small that I would be able to continue with the pregnancy. He did prescribe progesterone suppositories though which I take twice a day. Yesterday when I went back to the doctor they did another ultra sound and said that the baby is growing, heartbeat is stong, but the sac is very small. They are still saying that I have very little chance of carrying this baby much longer. Anyone have advice or had the same problem?

Hi Sandy, check out the thread here called "progesterone dropping." Hopefully you can get some good info. I learned a lot and plan on asking for a progesterone supplement. I'm very sorry for what you are going through and I wish you the absolute best outcome. Please keep us informed. Hugs to you.

Thanks for the info Elle. I go back to the doctor the 21st. As of today I am still pregnant and hoping for the best. I'll keep you informed.

I just had a u/s on 7/7/05. I saw the heartbeating :-) I also had labs that day and my progesterone was also 6.2. I was given prometrium to help, but at that point I had started bleeding first brownish then bright red on 7/8/05. I pa__sed blood clots on 7/09/05 and then developed cramps. My Doctor had me come in for an u/s and sadly there was no heartbeat. :-( I was only 6 wks. I will pray for you and your baby>
