Morning Sickness Or Virus

Can morning sickness last for only 3 or 4 days?
I'm 8 weeks pregnant and up until recently I've not suffered from any morning sickness. However last Satuday I started feeling sickly, which got gradually worse untill Tuesday where i was physically sick twice in one day. I then started to get gradually better and now (Friday) I don't have any sickness symptoms at all. I do have quite a bad sore thoat though.
I just assumed I was starting with morning sickness but now I'm really worried I may have picked up a sickness bug from other people at work who've been off ill with sickness and vomiting.
I am really worried because I've heard catching a virus in your first trimester can affect the fetus - i.e. autism.
Has anyone had anything similar and had a positive outcome?

I think you are fine. Morning sickness will come and go - some days I am great, other's my head is in the toilet more than once a day. did you have a fever? I think that is where to problems ly, if there is an increase in the body temperature than there is a risk to the baby
