Pockets Of Blood Behind Amniotic Sac

I am 5 weeks, and last week I started spotting dark brown, then a few days later it changed to bright red blood. That lasted about a day - not too heavy - then it stopped completely. The next day, I started bleeding again. My hcg levels are normal, progesterone is normal, the US showed a heartbeat and normal fetus. The doctor said I had small pockets of blood behind the amniotic sac. Does anyone else have this? Or know where it comes from, or what it means?

Hi rr, hope you are doing well. I also had pockets but it was after a mc, and d&c. Glad to hear your baby is doing well!. I also had same brown discharge, but it was the sing of a mc. Good luck to you.
