Pre Eclampsia Amp High Bloodpressure

I'm 32 weeks & the doctor just put me on bed rest due tio high blood pressure/mild pre eclampsia, which totally shocked me as I have been taking very good care of myself through the whole pregancy. I was in such shock Ieft without even asking him what are the risks of having high blood pressure to myself & my baby... & how badly can it harm my baby if my blood pressure rises. Has anyone experienced this & have any advise, also any idea's on how to survive bedrest?

i had preclampsia after i gave birth and it was very painful horrible headaches. it was very deadly for me luckily i had given birth and was not still pregnant. i really hope you take it easy dont be getting upset. i was not aloud to watch tv or have any visitors including my newborn baby because i could of had a stroke and i was only 18. i was to stay in a darkened room alone to keep from getting my blood pressure up. i am 23 now and 30 weeks preggo and no signs of it yet. i have never been on bedrest but my sis has and she had someone to bring her all her meals and watch over her and she had the tv in her room to watch and she used the phone alot. please take it easy and dont get upset no matter what get all the rest you can Good luck.
