I am approx. 9-10 weeks pregnant, and I have a boyfriend who insists on abortion. However my morals say diffrent, regardless he wants me to take Xanax 1-2 MG on ocassion. I know this harms my baby but what effects does it really have. I am very concerned and have no insurance, in order to visit a doctor, Can someone please help me find some answers!

Trinette, my recommendation would be to call social services and ask them about how you can get on some sort of medical a__sistance. Or - go to a free community clinic. You really should be seeking immediate medical attention for your pregnancy. In my field I always heard that xanax can be harsh on the brain of the person taking it and so if it actually transfers to the baby, what could it be doing to him or her? Think long-term - this is a precious human life you are creating and you want him or her to have the best chance at not only surviving but thriving in life. I know you want that. If for some reason you actually need something for stress, you have to discuss your options with the doctor. Xanax may be harming the baby's development. *Pllleeeease Trinette - talk to a medical professional... maybe first you can call a helpline in the phonebook.
