SURVEY Subchorionic Hematoma

I had a d&c last July 3 due to this condition. DH and I are very much eager to ttc right away but i am so scared that the hematoma might recur again. I had a healthy pregnancy with my eldest thats why we were shock why this happened. Are there any women out there who had a healthy pregnancy right after a d&c with s. hematoma? Is there a possibility of recurring this kind of complications? Any views? Please...im just so scared...

Hi Sha,- My dr. told me SCH happens randomly for reasons unknown and most likely will not happen twice

Sha - Hematomas do not normally reoccur. Occa__sionally they can reoccur if you have a blood clotting disorder but this is rare - you can get a blood test to tell if you're worried but I think its unlikely if you had a healthy first pregnancy. Even if you do have a blood clotting disorder it can be treated (I think with heparin and aspirin but I'm not sure) during pregnancy to stop you getting another hematoma. I'm sure you'll be fine. Thank you Justine. You guys are helping me a lot! I will have an appt. with my dr. next week and i will consider doing a bloodtest to ensure that im physically fit to have another pregnancy and if i have a clotting disorder just like you've said. Hope everything is ok and have a healthy pregnancy soon... :-)
