Slow Heartbeat Slow Growth

My Wife went for her 2nd ultrasound which should have placed her at 8 weeks give or take a day or two. The ultrasound showed a heartbeat of 100 but the due date moved two weeks later because no growth. Now this is a different office with a different machine. Are there differences in machines that could cause this or this a doomed pregnancy. This is our second IVF try, the first pregnancy from IVF. My wife had one miscarriage at 6-7 weeks when we tried with clomid. Is it possible to have no growth in two weeks but a heartbeat begin in that period? Is it possible for growth to kick in between now and next week. My wife has had no bleeding.

If the doc said tat the baby looks fine, then you need not worry. i had the same issue too. I was suppose to be 11 weeks pregnant but the ultrasoud showed only 9 week old fetus. Also, as per the ultrasound, your wife is only 6 weeks pregnant. You should get another ultrasound done at the 9th or 10th week and ask for the heartbeat at that stage. 6 weeks is too early for having a proper heartbeat. I wish you have a healthy baby.
