Smoked During First 7 Weeks Of Pregnancy

I was on the pill and used the method of skipping my period by not taking the sugar pills as recommended by my doc in order to avoid a month of cramps . . . but I got pregnant during this time and was unaware. I just found out that I am pregnant ( has to be between 5 and 7 weeks) and I have been smoking cigarettes the whole time. Is my baby going to be okay as I'm stopping now, or is it too late?

I did not find out I was pregnant with my first child until I was 11 weeks pregnant. Smoked that whole time. She was just fine, but I did quit immediately upon finding out. I voiced my concern to my doctor and she told me it would be fine as long as I quit immediately. I'm sure your baby will be great if you give it up now.
