I am about 7 and a half weeks pregnant and since Friday I have had some light brown/pinkish discharge and it is very thick. Could this mean that I will miscarry?

I was in a similar situation-- I started spotting at around 6 weeks (and even a little bleeding when I went to the restroom). My spotting was a light brown/beige on my pantiliner, but sometimes would only be seen on the toilet paper when I wiped myself. It stopped after 3 days, but started again a week later (at about 7 weeks). It was light brown again then the next day it turned into a dark brown. The advice nurse informed me as long as I had no bad cramping or fresh blood that would soak up a pad, that I was probably okay. I was very nervous & thought I was going to miscarry soon. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks-- and everything looked okay. The doctor didn't notice anything wrong. I was even able to see the baby's heartbeat! Hang in there! Take it easy! And TRY not to stress (I know that's hard). I'm not a medical expert, but hopefully that has given you some kind of hope. If you're worried or need rea__surance, talking to a nurse or doctor may be best.

I am also about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant, and while I've been okay so far, this is exactly the point where I started spotting in my first pregnancy. It was so frightening. It started out pink/brownish and then went to red. It was never very heavy or accompanied by cramps, but it did last about 4 weeks, off and on. However, in the end, everything was fine and I now have a beautiful little 13 month old girl, healthy as can be. Also, I've since found out that several of my friends also had spotting early on and went on to have otherwise normal pregnancies. So hang in there, everything just might be fine. I would still talk to your doctor though.
