I am 7.5 wks pregnant. I have had a black/dark bowel movement. Is this normal amongst pregnant women??? I am concerned. Please let me know if you have had the same problem. This has only happened once so far.

I would go see you obgyn, or call. I had a friend that had black stool, it was black due to blood present in the stool which can be of several reasons, get it checked out.

No, it seems OK today. I happened on the same day which I had morning sickness and actually threw up - I am thinking that maybe when I threw up (sorry if this is kinda gross) because it was just yellow stomach acid that it may have cause a bit of bleeding which resulted in the dark BM. Thanks for the concern!

My Dad once had black stool and it worried us- it turns out he had been eating Oreos and that's what caused it. Seriously. I just wanted to mention it in you've been eating Oreos, too. I know it is silly, but I thought it might help.
