Tami,
Don't you worry about coming on here often b.c once that little one gets here you'll have no time! ha ha I'm so excited for you. What are you decorating the nursery in? I did Winnie the Pooh from Wal*mart, I just loved the plaid! But, I'm going to have to move BACK IN WITH MY PARENTS in January because my husband is going to Germany for 4 months and I need someone to watch my baby while I attend MEGA-collage hours, I'm thinking 18+ hours. So, we bought an extra bed today, and bedding, ALL on clearance! I was like a kid in a candy store! They had this beautiful Disney Princess bedding on sale, and I ended up geting the bedding, skirt, and mobile for 16 DOLLARS!!!! And this beautiful Dutchess bed for $79! It's so fun! Sorry, I love good deals like that. Well, do keep me posted, I want to know details as soon as she comes, well once you feel like it. ha ha. What are you going to name her?

I was 8 months pregnant when I had what I thought was an appendicitis. When I finally got to the hospital after being stuck behind a train for an hour they did an ultrasound and found 2 gallstones blocking the ducts. I never had an attack again during the pregnancy but I did a week afterwards. Anywho I had it removed five weeks after I had my baby. All is well again as I'am now in my 18th week of my third pregnancy. Good luck with all and I hope all go's well from here on out. Oh and by the way my doctor gave me some good pain meds which were safe during pregnancy that helped with the constant dull pain.

Hey ladies-I am back! no baby yet though. :( She is a stubborn little girl I guess-takes after her daddy. Sounds like you are all doing well-except Anna we haven't heard from you! Are you okay? Let us know please.
Amanda-Your nursery sounds way cute! Its too bad that your husband has to go away. That would be so hard, but I am glad that you have your supportive parents to help you out at this time! I am doing my nursery in Noah's Ark theme. I am a big animal fan and it seemed just perfect for me. We are going to name her Kailey Ann and we are getting very anxious for her to come! As I am sure you can imagine. How have you been feeling lately? I have just been feeling very large-more stretch marks by the day! At least they aren't estimating that I am going to have a big baby though-that gives me comfort. Hopefully they aren't wrong. My doctor doesn't like women to go more than a week overdue so we'll probably schedule an induction date tomorrow-I will let you know!
Shelly-It is good to hear from you again. As I am sure that you are very busy with your handsome little man. he is very precious! I can't wait to share my pictures of little Kailey with you-once she decides to come into this world! :) I guess she didn't want to come early after we told her to wait until at least 37 weeks she must have decided to come late just to spite us. Hopefully my delivery is easy though. At least I won't have to worry about gall bladder attacks during it like you did. I can't imagine! How are you feeling by the way? Any attacks recently? Are you scheduled to have it taken out any time soon? HOw big is Jesse now? I can't believe he was born almost two months ago. That is just crazy. Hope you are doing well and hopefully I will be posting my birth story here REALLY soon. :) Have a great night ladies!

Hey ladies! You are right, I did have my little Kailey Ann last Tuesday. She is beautiful-big dark eyes with dark hair and eyelashes to match! She was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long-so she was pretty big. I will have to post pictures to her website soon-her daddy is making that one! I was spotting on Sunday night/monday morning so we called the hospital and they told us to come in to check on her. Well, they did a contraction stress test and she failed the first one-then pa__sed the second so they decided to check her fluid levels. The fluid was low so they decided to induce me right there! My doctor said he normally wouldn't induce me since I wasn't far enough dilated yet, but he really didn't have a choice. They induced me at 6 in the morning on Monday and I finally had her at 8:43 AM on Tuesday-so it was a very long ordeal. It was very slow going-they wouldn't break my water becuase the fluid was so low, so I had to wait for it to break on its own for things to speed up. It finally broke at midnight and htings when a lot faster from there. I finally got to start pushing at 6-and that's when things got really tough. The epidural wore off-I had back labor and the pitocin made things horrible of course, and the anesthesiologist was in with a c-section patient monitoring her during that! I was miserable. Well, they finally got him in after the c-section-I was crying the whole time it hurt so bad, and it was so nice once the extra dose kicked in! Well, then my little girl went into distress and her heart beat started dropping with the contractions AND she got stuck. She was close enough to getting her head out that they just gave me an episiotomy and actually pulled her out-I didn't even go through pushing her all the way out. She was born blue and in distress and Chad didn't even get to cut the cord-all I saw was her beautiful head of black hair. They whisked her away and were working on her on the side of the room, then when they couldn't get her to breathe right they rushed her out of the room-all the while I am asking what is going on, and no one is able to tell me much of anything! Well, Chad went with her to the nursery where they were working on her, and I had to stay and get sewn up-200 st_tches all the while worried out of my mind! Eventually they got word back that she was doing better but I still had to wait for them to finish doing tests on her and stuff, so I didn't get to see or hold her until she was about 3 hours old. Luckily everythign cleared up and everything is wonderful now! She is very healthy and strong-thank goodness. They had us stay an extra day in the hospital though to monitor her. That is my labor story! Now, do I get to hear yours Shelly? :) Hope that you ladies are doing great! I absolutely love being a mommy-I can't believe it quite yet though! She is a horrible sleeper though. Last night she was awake from 11 to 7 this morning-I have found that running the shower works though. Shelly-how is Jesse doing? He is getting so big! How does he sleep? I am curious as to how long it takes for them to get on a semi-normal schedule. Let me know how you ladies are doing! I will post pictures as soon as her daddy gets her site up and running.

Congratulations Tami, i am so happy for you and Chad. It's sooo exciting to finally have her right?I am so sorry to hear you had a horrible labor as well. How are you feeling now, those st_tches must hurt really bad.And i know its hard, you are so happy to have your little girl and she turns out to be a terrible sleeper, seems to me like she has her nights and days mixed up.How is she doing during the day?And how is the b___stfeeding?Sorry,but i have so many questions.Of course i am no expert but i am 7 weeks and 1.5 hour ahead of you so i may be able to give you some tips. The worst night for me was when Jesse was 5 days old and he had colic.Jesse is doing great, for 5 nights in a row he slept 6-7 hours but last night he kept me up quite a bit.Especially from 3-5:30 and then he woke up again at 7:00 am.Next week he will go to the docs again,he needs to get his shots and i am very curious how much he weighs, must be over 10 pounds if not more, and i think he is about 22.5 inches.A lot of his clothes don't fit any more.Well as promised here is my delivery story: I went in the hospital on August 7 at 6:00 pm to be induced.First they were going to give me something to help me with my cervix (to dilate and efface)and on monday morning they were going to induce. You know all this already.Well that cervidal put me in labor right away (sometimes that happens) my contractions were 6 minutes apart as of 7:00 pm (still sunday)Then i got a gallbladder attack,a pretty bad one i must say.So we tried to keep that under control.I was not able to sleep all night and on monday morning i was still onli 1 cm dilated and 20 % effaced. So they put something in there every 4 hours to help speed things up.Contractions were 3 min apart by late monday evening.Tuesday morning around 4:00 am i was 2 cm and 30 % effaced, and i was going to get the pitocin at 3 cm.Around 5:00 am my wather broke and contractions got reallly really bad, the nurse gave me a shot for the pain and that brought me to lala land.In my mind i was going in a tunnel to grab a contraction (i was on a monitor all this time so i could also see the peak of the contractions and Jesses heartrate blodpressure etc) and after "grabbing " acontraction i would let it go in the hospital room and tell my hubby i let it go.I know it sounds so stupid,my husband still don't think it's funny,he was already worried at that time.I was pretty drugged and hallucinating but i can still remember it.Then that shot wore of after an hour and the nurse said i really needed the epidural. It hurt bad,but you know that as well.We had to wait a couple minutes until the anestisiologist (speling?)was done with another lady and getting the epidural wasn't to bad,but 5 minutes after he was done I could hardly breath,i told them that my chest was going numb, then my bloodpressure went way up,Jesses heartrate went down,he was getting in severe distress, and then my bloodpressure went down like a brick. Before we knew it i had 7 nurses and docters in that room, they pushed My husband aside and start movin me.I had to lay on my sides;i don't know anymore, they kept moving me around.I was worried sick about Jesse, and my docter came in ;they had paged her and she lives 5 min from the hospital, she told me she could give me pitocin to spped the labor up but that i had to keep in mind b/c of the whole situation that i may have to have a c-section.I askedher how far i was dilated and at that moment it was 3 cm but still only 30% effaced. So i told her that i have had stuff to help me dilate and efface for 35 hours with hardly any result, iwas exhausted, i said i think i will end up with a c-section anyways, the baby is in distress, lets do it now!!! It was almost 7:00 am and she fully agreed with me.So we went down and they strapped me down, half way {about 5 min)i think the epidural was eiter wairing down or it never went ok,b/c i could feel everything they were doing. It didn't hurt but it felt ....i still don't know how to explain. But i started to panic and i told the main surgeon i could feel it and he went with something cold over me and asked to tell him when i felt it,well that was pretty darn soon,so they upped the epidural dose but by then Jesse was born.I never got to se him "fresh" out of me.They took him away and as they were sewing me up the nurse came to show me my baby. But he was all "giftwrapped".he was in a blanket and had a hat on all i could see was his precious face and i started crying.I thought he was the most beautiful baby boy in the whole wide world.(i still do)heh heh!! So after all was done (8;00am-he was born at 7:14) i went to the recovery room and asked if i could see him and my hubby but i was not allowed until 9:30 and i asked ifsomebody had been by my husband and nobody had,at that time he didn't know if we were ok or not so i asked my doc to go and take the baby to henk and she did.At 8:30 she came to tell me that Jesse and Henk werefine and she saw me moving my toes,so she said since i was recovering so fast i would be able to go upstairs at 9:00 and see Jesse and Henk(Henks name is pronounced like Hank but since we are fromHolland it is spel;led with an E).So anyways that was my little story. It must have been so scary for you to not have seen Kailey for 3 hours,i am so sorry. But wouldn't you do it all over again?I know i would.PS If you want to you can e-mail me at sichelle1976@yahoo.com I had given you another one earlier but something went wrong with it.Anyways i will let you go for now:Jesse is crying he is HUNGRY!!! I will check back later today, enjoy your little one!

Tami, CONGRATS. My story is so much like yours. Almost everything the same, except my epidural did not kick in with the 2nd dose, so I had to go Au Natural. My daughter was born at 7:21 am. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. to and was 21 1/4" long! That's crazy how much we have in common. My daughter, Alexia, did not start sleeping 'til around 4 months. Those first months are difficult. Know how everyone says ask for help, it's true. You really need too. Being that Ali's now 9 months old, I trump you and Shelly, lol. Shelly, I know what you mean about the feeling. You can feel them slicing. It doesn't hurt but it's not a great feeling. Still creeps me out. It's like accidentally cutting yourself, but in slow motion. Of course, my birth was nothing compaired to your's, bless your heart. Write to me at leiser123@earthlink.net if you have any questions, Tami or Shelly. I can give advice. Happy for you Tami! YEAH! FREEDOM FROM THE BELLY!

Hey ladies! It seems like it takes so much longer to get back to you now that Kailey is here. Shelly-wow, I can't believe you went through that! I am just glad that everything is alright. I can't imagine going through that-mine was bad enough. I do know about the cutting feeling-I could feel them cutting me (my episiotomy) and also the st_tches, not fun! These babies are so worth it though right? The st_tches hurt pretty bad, in fact I swear they are getting worse but maybe its one of those things that get worse before they get better. Breastfeeding is going great though. Kailey eats very well adn I haven't had to supplement with formula at all. She also has never spit up except for the night she was born which makes me happy. We finally had a night last night where she slept pretty good-it was wonderful getting a few extra hours of sleep. Chad has been great though-he has watched her a couple hours some nights and calls it his "daddy, daughter time." Aren't those husbands just so cute with thier babies? I can't believe Jesse is getting so big. He is so cute! I will have to send some pictures of Kailey to your email address. In fact I will do that right now.
Amanda-wow! I can't believe the similarities either. How does Alexia sleep now? And how did you cope without much sleep the first four months? I am a person who has always needed sleep and don't function well without it, and now I am dying! Any tricks or ways to cope that you found? Did you b___stfeed or use formula with her? I am exclusively b___stfeeding-although I do pump and use a bottle so Chad can have an opportunity to feed her. So far there has been no nipple confusion-even though the lactation specialist told me not to use a bottle in the hospital.
Okay here are some more questions-just becuase I am curious. How long did it take you both to get back into your pre-pregnancy clothes. I am finding that some of my shirts fit now, but the pants won't. Must have gained the weight in my backside or something! Just wondering how long I might have before I expect something at least semi-normal! Well, I am off to email you ladies some pictures. Hope you are both doing great!

Tami, to answer your questions, I didn't really cope at all. I have had insomnia from Jr. High but I was only getting a couple hours a night. With being so sick from gallstones and having postpartum depression, I had a lot of help from my mom. The best thing to do is ask for help from grandparents, church members, whoever you can and trust. That way you can catch sleep. Everyone says it, but sleep when the baby sleeps. Now, Alexia sleeps 10 or so hours. I get my cla__s work done at night. And nap when she naps during the day. 45 mins. every 3 hours. I b___stfeed, but I could never make enough, so I had to supplement with formula. Then, at 4 or 5 months I went on Welbutrin and had to quite. I miss it a lot. It was a special feeling. Especially when she would do the baby bird nod at my chest the first week or so. You know what I mean. Or, you will. I cannot believe you felt the episotomy and stiches too. I thought I was the only one. I still remember it. It's kinda creepy. But yes, having Alexia was worth everything. She makes life worth living. And I enjoy just playing with her and laughing. A few hints though, being a new mom. 1) Pack 'n Play or something similar. 2) Your own intuition is usually the best. My daughter was not sleeping well until at about 3 and 1/2 months when I decided to start feeding her a little rice ceral mixed with formula. Of course, call the Drs. office if you feel uncomfortable. She started sleeping for longer periods of time. 3) Let someone else do the dishes or such for a few months. And let go of the perfect house. 4) Playhouse Disney! 5) It's normal for the s_x drive to slack off or become non exsistant. 6) Call another new mother. It helps. If you have any other ?s just write me!

Amanda-thank you so much for the advice! Anything helps at this point I would say. It helps having people to talk to about the sleepless nights and getting advice. We live in an apartment building and the couple who share a wall with us just had thier baby three days ago, so we talk a lot! So when I am up at 3 in the mornign and hear her baby crying as well I feel like at least someone knows how I feel! It is silly, but it somehow makes it easier! We are traveling to our hometown next weekend to go to a friends wedding and my family is so excited (especially my little sister who loves changing diapers for some reason) so I am sure I will have plenty of help then. Also Chad's parents are there and they have already told us they would watch her for about an hour so we could go. It will be nice to get out and know she is in good hands so I don't have to worry. I have a couple more questions. Where did you get your pack n play? We are goign to get something for when we travel (right now we use a cradle my husband's aunt and uncle let us borrow) but we just don't know what is the best thing to get. Also at your six week checkup did your doctor prescribe some type of birth control? I am just wondering because I know I will need it-I don't want to become pregnant again anytime soon after this one! I just want something that won't interfere with b___stfeeding so I was wondering what you and Shelly did. That is if I ever feel like it again. Wow, I feel like I have a million questions. I probably will have more later also! I guess being a new mom you get that way huh? So how is school going for you Amanda? Shelly, how is cute little Jesse?

Tami, Relax, sounds like your doing great. When you go home, remember to ENJOY your free time. It's very rare. I bought my pack n play at wal*mart(pooh) but they have them at sears, pennys, K mart, everywhere now. I saw a moses basket at walmart today, you might be interested in. You could set lil Kaliey in it and set her in the pack n play at night. That would be a big help. Pack n Play http://www.walmart.com/catalog/search-ng.gsp?search_constraint=5427&search_query=pack+n+play&ics=20&ico=0 and moses basket http://www.walmart.com/catalog/search-ng.gsp?search_constraint=5427&search_query=moses+basket&ics=20&ico=0
Both are great options and they do have a safari one, pack n play, that might go with the noah's ark theme. They also have something called a travel crib at wal*mart that is a smaller version of the pack n play.
Yes, at 6 weeks I was put on birth control. Ortho Novum 7/7/7 and it was safe for me while I b___stfed. I understand the feeling of not wanting another, at least not yet. Not for a long time. I can only say I HOPE the want for it comes back. lol Write me at my e-mail anytime! Or here!
In school, I'm doing better than expected. An A, 2 B's, and one C! Not to shabby! How's Kaliey doing? Also, how's mommy doing?
