I was just diagnosed with having genital warts. The doctor did not seem too concerned, but I am. I had a normal pap smear a few weeks ago so I am sure that so far my cervix is fine. But I nervous that the warts will affect my cervix. Has anyone been through this, or can anyone suggest any info I should know? Thanks.

I too was diagnosed with genital warts when i go pregnant with my daughter who is now 5. Didnt cause any problems whatsoever, just didnt clear up till after the birth. My doctor said they had been brought out by the pregnancy hormone and could have had themin my system for ages.!!!

Thanks Lisa. That is what the doc told me too, but I am a habitual worrier. (esp. since this is my first pregnancy.)
Did you continue to have normal s_xual relations with your dh (without condom) etc....? Thanks for your input.

I too have genital warts. I was diagnosed before pregnancy. Usually if you have an outbreak during pregnancy they can freeze them off but they will not cause complications during pregnancy. I personally feel gross when I have an outbreak such as now and I just dont want to have s_x. I hate this.

Yup,found out i had genetal warts when i was 5 months along. I wouldnt worry... my baby is great.

I too had that same diagnosis. It only lasted for about a week and not the whole pregnancy. I occurred both times I was pregnant. My sister-in-law also had the same thing happen to her. Our children are just fine, nothing to worry about. Good luck!!!
