i am 19 years old and pregnant with my first child... i just went in to take the 1 hour glucose screening test and i failed :(....meaning i have to go back for the three hour...what does this all mean?

Dont worry! This just mean they will do a more in-depth test next time. It does not mean you have gestational diabetes. My doctor told me that only about 1 out of every 10 women who fail the first test have it, so try not to worry. Hopefully next time they will discover everythings fine. Usually gestational diabetes is greater in women who are over the age of 25, you are still young so you should be o.k
