Just to expect a higher chance of a breech baby a poss a csec and a slight chance of an early delivery...but not necesarily. Every pregnancy is different I think. But if your baby turns with luck then you wont have any problem having it naturally. You may want to call your health ins and ask about a specialist for your condition. Or if you have a great doctor they may be good enough to pa__s you on to a Dr who is familiar with your condition. Otherwise push your Dr to go onto the internet and research your condition. You are considered a little higher risk with a heart shaped uterus and should be treated with care.
I have to honestly say, if you end up with a csec, its longer to heal but think about it, I had him in 20min. Wow, not bad compared to some who are in labor for hours and hours. Id do it again in a heart beat. If you need support re this just email me anytime.

Oops I was answering the very first email....silly me. Duh. Elisabeth, personally Id stay with the csec only because after all that youve been through I wouldnt take any chance of the delivery going wrong. Your lucky enough to have bigger babies than I. My son was only 6/6 at 37wks. The Dr told me to have ONLY csec now but that was cuz they cut my uterus like an upside down T. Besides its less stress on your body and the babys. Good luck!

hello to all. let me just say this site is so nice because I feel so alone with my several conditions. I am only 21 years old but since I was 12 I have delt with pain so horible I would throw up, pa__s out, and scream with pain! (this is no exageration) Recently I had surgery for what I finally know as endometriosis. However I also have a dip at the top of my uterus and a septum on my right side verticly and horizontily cousing three sections. My left side however is fine and hopefully capable of carrying a baby. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now with NO sucsess. I practice FAM (charting) and am pretty sure that I am ovulating and that my lutel phase is long enough. My husband is getting checked next week. Is there any one with a story simillar to mine. Please help theres no for me to talk to. Thanx so much!

I didn't find out that I had this "heart shaped" uterus until I had a C-sec. with my 2nd child because she was breech. The doctors realized my condition when they inspected the uterus after the c-sec, which is common for them to do, I then had a miscarriage with my next child. But after the miscarriage I went on to have 4 successful v____al deliveries after that. I am now carrying my 7th child. Who hasn't yet turned even though I am 31 weeks. This pregnancy is just like my breech baby before, she is in the exact same position, so now I am wonderin if she is caught in the lobe that my previous daughter was caught in. I don't have much amniotic fluid which could be a hinderence if they should try to turn her. But, I am just wanting to encourage all women that just because you have a bicornuate uterus that there are degrees of the severity of it and be hopeful you too could have lots of kids.

Hi Cory, just happened to see your response pop up on my computer. I also had the help of the home fertility tests and it made the difference as well for me. it make cost a bit to buy them but it helps to see when you are at your most fertile too. Good luck!

My best friend Lisa had her baby last month at around 29 weeks and she went into early labor because they discovered she had a heart shaped uterus which is rare. She had a c-section and her baby girl was a healthy 4 lbs 12 oz and is doing just fine! So keep the faith. You will likely have to have a c-section but things will be okay.

I forgot to mention that Lisa's baby was in the breech position.

I have a bicornuate uterus which is also known as a heart shapped uterus. I have had three healthy pregnancies and threee wonderful and perfect babies. my first 2 pregnancies were v____al births and they were girls. My last baby was a c-section, because my son was a transverse lie, laying side ways. I am now pregnant with my forth baby, and still everything is fine. Somewomwn have to have a st_tch put in there cervix if they have this bicornuate uterus, i have been ok without it. All do not worry about this bicornuate uterus that we have it makes us special not ab normal.
