has anyone found any other information on the web about pregnancy with a iud in ? I have been searching but have found almost nothing...i also have a 10 yr iud i had put in about 41/2 yrs ago after the birth of my third child...i had light spotting instead of a period this month and keep dreaming about being pregnant..I'm curious how often that really happens.

Well today I have been sooooo crampy, my lower back aches and i am sooo bloated. also my b___bs got way bigger today i swear! I called my OB today and she told me to bring in a sample of my urine from first thing in the morning and they will test it and call me. I feel sooo pregnant! I am so p__sed that i paid for the dumb IUD if in fact i really am pregnant. we should all sue them. haha just kidding. I do want another baby though. i will write tomorrow to let you all know the outcome. bye for now.

I also just found this directory of sites with more than a few links to information concerning different IUD's since some in this thread are using Paraguard, Progestasert and Mirena, Hopefully everyone can get some answers......I did notice some pregnancy like side effects listed for the Mirena, however, they are supposed to "subside within 4 months" well here's a question, If you ignore them and are truly pregnant then what??? Hello girls! I hope all is going well. Well its been a week since my d&c and I am still bleeding. I hope they dont have to go back in and I really hope they got that piece of the iud out.

I dont know how many times I have posted this but here I go again if you think your pregnanct go I had all the sign b___st sworness and enlarging.. Everyone except morning sicknesss.. I didn't think anything about it until I started bleeding. They removed my iud and found out later that I was miscarriaging and had a piece of the iud in me... ITS NOT WORTH IT DONT WAIT >>>>>>

I just had my IUD taken out because it caused an infection in my uterus. As soon as the infection is gone we are going to try to have another baby.

Hello Ladies-- I have to say, there is a part of me tht is relieved that I am not going through "this" alone, and a part of me that is terrified by the "unknown." I have had my Mirena 5-yr IUD under a year. I missed my cycle lst month and have been experiencing dull-severe abdominal pain, consitenet light cramping, pain in my lower back-- I eat like a pig, so I cannot tell if my appet_te has increase. I haven't really gained any weight, but my shape has changed-- I have lost my waistline... Anywho, I took a pregnancy test (First Response) last week, it came back negative. There is such conflicting information on the web and all of our stories are similar, yet different. I am following up with my doctor and am absolutely terrified to think I may be pregnant-- My prayers are with all of you (all of us). We cannot be scared, we must go to the doctor, take the necessary precautions and make the necessary follow-up. We have husbands, boyfriends, children, and family that care about us-- we must not sacrifice our safety out of fear. Peace be with you...

I have had my Iud since march, my baby is 6mths. I should have got my period on the 2nd. I have been experiencing abdominal pains in my lower abdominal and back pains. Last night my fiance and i had s_x only to find out I was spotting afterwards. We thought I might get my period but still haven't. I like the rest of you thought this was full proof. I took a test Sunday night only to find it negative. But I have yet not received my cycle. I am a full time student and work full time fortunately I will be graduating this month. My mother got pregnant with my youngest brother while she had the IUD However she had been on it almost ten years. Fortunately even though the doctor didn't believe her after many test the IUD was removed and he was born fine. I have a doctor appt scheduled this Friday I hope everyhting turns out okay. I will keep you posted. Whomever came up with this message board Thank you sincerely. My prayers are with you all.

Elisa I did the same thing and found out I was pregnant two weeks later my test was also negative but unfortuantely I had a miscarriage. my prayers are with you..

Hello ladies....well I am still waiting for this thursday....However, I have been spotting for 2 weeks straight, and then today the bleeding began to get heavier, i am still having the pains i was discussing in my earlier posts...I have taken yet another hpt, and it too was negative....thursday is my ultrasound...i have decided that if everythng shows fine at the ultrasound, I will have the IUD removed, it is not worth all the worry and the guessing game....I will keep you all posted....

I can't believe I was made to think that the Mirenia IUD was foolproof and there are so many women who were fooled! I thought NO WAY am I pregnant after 2 years of having this IUD, despite the nagging pg symptoms, but now I think I'll take my rear end down to the store. I am 25, in college full time, have 2 kids already, and am about to go thru a divorce, so I hope I'm just overreacting that my period was almost nonexistent last month (2 days of light spotting). Well I started my cycle I think yesterday after I got home. But on the first day its supposed to be heavy. However this morning I showered and there was nothing left. I use tampons so its's hard to tell If I've been spotting. This is the same way I got pregnant with my daughter. I still have unbearable cramping in my lower abdominal pains. So I will wait and see. Hey all i have had my peroid this month 3 days like normal after being on the pill for a month i am backto my normal self again! Holly I am so sorry to hear whatyou went thruogh! And for thosee that think you are gaining weight i found out that you do gain weight with it and there is a horomone inthe Merina IUD that messes with the pg b;ood and yrine tests!
