Low Hcg

hi all, i have been reading all your stories and i never knew so many people have this problem. i have 3 children, 2 of which are twins. we were not planning to have another but were very happy to find out i was expecting another. lmp was 4/6. went to doc on 5/27 and took normal blood tests. he told me my prgesterone level was low at 7 (approx) needed to do another test that day. that result was 12.7 but he then told me hcg was too low at 16,000. i waited another day and took another test. results were 20,500. still low i was told. waited 2 more days and the result of the next test was 25,000. I went for an ultrasound yesterday, which now i am 9 weeks and the doc said he can't find a heartbeat and i need to do a d & c. he sent me for another test anyway and the result is now 18,000. i am so upset!! i know the doc spoke to me briefly about progesterone supplements when he said that was low but he never mentioned it again once the hcg problem came about. is there any suppliments for hcg?? I guess i just need to know for my own peace of mind. i am thinking about getting a second opinion about the heartbeat but i don't even know who to go to for that. i read on this site about someone else who did not see the heartbeat but all of a sudden it was there. i really dont want the d&c yet if there might be hope. please help very confused!!good luck to all of you. my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am going through the exact same thing. Although I have scheduled my D&C for tomorrow. But I can't help wondering, I'm not cramping or bleeding my HCG numbers are rising but slowly. I keep thinking maybe I should get a second opinion.
