Jen, Well, the docs office was closed today so I have to wait until tomorrow! Go figure right? Hey, do you know if taking progesterone suppositories would make my b___sts hurt? Just curious cuz they say if you still have preggo symptoms (sore b___sts,nausea) then thats a good sign that I did not miscarry(usually), but b/c I am on progesterone I just don't know.

Jena, Hon, I know how you feel about your numbers. Mine are so low too. How far along are you? My doc said they could be real low cuz I was only 4 weeks when I found out. It's a scary time for all of us, but if you want to email me to chat its mhyatt78@yahoo.com

I wanted to to my story so that some of you might feel better about your low levels of HCG. The day after my period was due I tested at 49 and my doctors were worried b/c this is kind of on the low end. I checked some resources and ofund out that 49 is normal, but low, for 4 weeks and that it matters more how often and how much it doubles. After an agonizing week of waiting and praying i went back and my HCG level was 581! I also got to the sac for the first time. I am now five weeks and will repeat my HCG tomorrow and a week from today. Good luck to everyone and remember that low levels don't ALWAYS have negative connotations.

CMH, Thank for your story, I think we all need some positive stories. My story got better as well! After four days my HCG level went from 44 to 309! I was so exited I was shaking. I have to go get them checked again on thursday. I am 5 weeks and 4 days so even kinda low my doc said there doubling so don't worry. I'll keep ya posted. Hey, does anyone know if a fever(flu) is dangerous in the first weeks of pregnancy??

Hi to all! you are in my thoughts! Elizabeth...!! Congratulations!!! That is wonderful. I am so happy for you and will keep you in my prayers. Keep us posted! Tara and Beth---hi to both of you, wondering how you are!?!? Hope you have a chance to check in, really wondering how you both are! I had a dr. appt ysterday, and I am 16 weeks tomorrow. We heard the hearbeat, which was so, so, so nice. Next week would be the week I lost my last baby...so....I am anxious. If things go well..I just want to get through about the next four weeks, then I really think I can relax, at least mostly relax. Please let me know how you both are!

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this site but know what everyone is going through. I had a m/c years ago when my prog. levels dropped. Then was preg. w/my son (who is now 8 1/2). At 10 wks, my prog levels dropped and I was put on suppositories 2 x a day and everything worked out. I have a daughter that is now 4 and my preg. was perfect w/her. Then, 2 yrs ago, another m/c. My levels dropped again and by the time I was my dr., it was too late. Once again, I am pregnant. I am around 6w3d. Before I was due to start, I was running to the bathroom to pee, feeling sick and my b___bs hurt. All of my symptoms have gone away. I have had two blood tests done - the first one last Monday - the HCG was 89.6 and the prog. was 62.9. The second was this past Mon. and the HCB was 3400 and the prog dropped to 40. I'm not sure what to think and I am very scared. Can anyone offer any comforting advice?

Marsha, I am now 11 weeks pregnant.. Before my period was due i had all the symptoms that you had and like you mine went away...So far everything still looks good. Best wishes.

I just spent all morning reading everyones messages. I was nice to hear that everyone else goes through the same problems. I recently had a miscarriage feb 3rd. i had a d&c and it was the worst thing i had to go through in my life. I have a 9 yr old and im 28. i just found out im pregnant again. my last period was march 3rd. so i had one cycle. i am 4 weeks today and have been having cramping on and off from my left side to the right side and to the back. its not severe but i tested my hcg levels monday and wednesday. first was 18 then 23. that was 12 days past ovulation. im getting tested again in a week and im so scared of another miscarriage. i wish there were just pains for pregnancy and different pains for miscarriage. bc ive heard these pains could be ligament growth or early miscarriage. im not bleeding and theyre not painful. it just feels like ovulation. my prog. level is normal they said but the hcg is low. should i take progesterone shot fro the low hcg. I m so worried that is making me feel sick and i have anxiety with frequent bowels. plus it doesnt help that my boyfriend decided after two years he wants to be immautre and live the single life. Would the stress from that make me miscarry too? tahnks for your time good luck to all and congrads to the ones who are making it.

Amy, thanks for the response. I went to the doctor on Friday. She isn't concerned about the progesterone level dropping but did send me for another hcg and prog. test. She also had them do un u/s on me. I saw the sac and the yolk sac but no fetus. The dr. determined I was 5w5d and wasn't alarmed about not seeing a fetus. From what I've read, there should be one there by now and the heart beats at 6w. So, now I am really worried. I go again on Fri. for another u/s and am calling tomorrow (Mon) about the hcg. I'll let you know what happens and good luck with your pregnancy.

Hello there ladies, I just spent hours reading your stories both rewarding news and not so rewarding. I too am in the same boat. I just found out i was pregnat on Monday March 28th. Since then this week has me on an emotional rollercoaster. I started spotting brown (they say old blood) somewhat like mucas plug on Wednesday. Thursday I went to the emergency room spotting light pink blood with pelvic pain. My HGC Level was at 460 as I am to be around 3-5weeks. My OB doctor admitted me to the hospital to watch my HGC level. A vagainal ultrasound was done to see no sac in the uterus although they saw a MASS on my left ovary. My OB doctor was not convinced this is an ectopic pregnacy the following day my HGC level was at 926 doubling so they discharged me. Then later that evening i experienced abdominal pain when i would bend down, cough, or even sneezed. I went to the restroom and saw bright red blood in my urine and when I wiped. So I went back to the hospital for them to run my HGC level again to be at 645. I was so devestated as ive been trying for 10 years. I questioned the results and had them do it again to where it then came back at HGC level of 874. Today is sunday and I have an appointment with my DR on Monday. My question is what level is normal and is the HGC level suppose to go up and down. I thought once it goes down it continues to go down not back up???? Please help!!!!!!

I've spent the last hour reading the postings here and I wanted to thank all of the women for sharing their stories. My heart and prayers go out to all of you. My story is similar. I'm 37.I have a 10 year old boy, courtesy of clomid. I have spent the last 10 years trying to give him a sibling. I've gone through 2 IVF cycles and more clomid challenges and injectable cycles than I can count. I had a m/c 3 years ago, and we stopped trying. We went back to the R.E. this past February and I'm approaching the beginning of week 7 of a pregnancy courtesy of clomid and an injectable hormone. Last Friday I had U/S and bloodtest. We saw the heartbeat. The elation was shortlived when the Dr. said that the HCG was not as high as she would have liked and that there may be a problem. I've had cramping but no spotting. Just feeling a lot worried and scared. I wish all of you much luck and positve thoughts.

Nora - April 4

Ebee: I feel your fear as I carry the same as well. Today I went to my OB appointment as I sit here awaiting the HGC results. I also have an appointment tomorrow with my DR. I would like to discuss with him about CLOMID. Id like to know more can you tell me???? Also what was your HGC level at 7weeks? I will keep you in my praywers as well as all the women on this bulletin. God Bless!

Ebee - April 5

Nora, if I understood the dr. correctly last Friday the HCG was at 6000 and she wanted it at 10,000. I thought some of the other symptoms(sore b___sts, nausea, fatigue) were fading but they seem to be back. I've used Clomid so many times by itself or with combinations of injectables that it's hard to count but I'll be happy to answer any questions about my experiences. I wish you much luck at the dr.

Nora - April 5

Ebee: Thanks for your input. I recieved my HCG results yesterday (Monday) and they have dropped to 605. Im really terrified as iam 5 weeks along which the OB dr feels that should be much higher. The light bleeding and cramping has stopped so i dont understand the decreasing numbers. Ive been trying to get pregnat for many years now and feel that perhaps this pregnacy will not make it to term. Today Tuesday i go back to the dr for a v____al ultrasound and checkup. Do you think that perhaps the lab #'s are wrong??? What do you think about taking progestrin? Malissa: I want to let you know that I am also praying for you. Your situation is similar to mine, even with the boyfriend problem, although I hope this could help somewhat: My sis is an RN for labor and delivery and cannot voice enough how stress is the common killer not just in pregnacy but also in life. Some men i believe cannot handle what seems to be surfacing at that very moment in which they handle things different then us women. My finance and I have been trying for this baby forever and now that i am pregnat he seems from time to time to also want to live the single life. I believe that perhaps us women are much stronger during this time and then men feel helpless so as i was told since there is not much they believe they cant do (which we know being there means alot) they become distant. I hope this helps some because I am too in the same boat as you. So being upset and stressed over your boyfriend shouldnt be your concern at this time (which i know its better said then done) but relax and focus on that little one inside you. Let me know how things go. I will be praying for you!
