I am 6 weeks pregnant and my HCG levels are 7300. I had a test 1 week ago and they were at 3200 so they are not doubling like they should. I am pretty worried as i have also had spotting since i found out i was pregnant. Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced these things. thanks

I went to get a second opinion yesterday and the doctor agreed that I could wait as I have no cramping or bleeding. She even thought I may not be as far along as first suspected. My hcg level went up yesterday to 1031 and progesterone is 11.2. I just have my fingers crossed. Did anybody use the progesterone cream during this time?

Mandy, My story did not end on a happy note. Last tuesday I went into the doctor and they found that the heartbeat was no longer ther. I went and got a second opinion and it was confirmed. I had a DNC on wednesday, Eventhough my pregnancy was not viable I am still happy that I found out my true diagnosis. Had I not gone and gotten a second opnion I would have thought that I had had an ectopic pregnancy which I didn't. I am sad that this time didn't work but I am still grateful that I was able to find out what was really going on with my bidy. From the specialist that I wen to I found out that some women don't show on an US until the number is 2000. His name is Dr. Decherney at UCLA. He was fantastic. I also went to Dr. Howard Mandel who was equally amazing. My husband and I are now trying again but I stand behind the statement of follow your body. You may know more than your doctor.

I am 18 days post IVF transfer and my Hcg level is 53 at 15 days it was 21 - I am hopeful that because it is doubling that all will be well. I am very glad that I found this site it has given me some hope that all will be well.

Tiffany, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are right we do have to listen to our bodies. My first doctor was pretty adamant that something may go wrong with me this weekend but, so far so good. I go and see the (2nd opinion) doctoragain on wednesday. I'm just trying to stay positive and pray that this will be a viable pregnancy. Good luck with trying again! :)

I am 5 weeks preg as of yesterday. Since i found out i was preg 1 week ago, i soon started to have cramps and some spotting...it eased off for a few days, i have had 2 ectopic preg. and ended up losing my right tube during the 2nd ectopic. So of corse....finding out i was preg. was a big surprise since we have been tring for over a year and 1/2. I was sure i could not get preg. but i guess i can. I had blood work done last thursday and the level came back at 52, they took another blodd test this monday and it came back 78. the Dr will see me tomorrow to do a pelvic exam. for the last few days i have been having some slight bleeding...not a heavy flow. I am worried. I am thinking i prably had a miscarriage...or will soon. Has anyone started off with low HCG levels....and some bleeding and went on to have a good preg.?

I got the result from my 4th blood test and the levels are actually going down. So I am just waiting for the bleeding to start. Doctor basically said it was an early pregnancy that didn't take. I am somewhat relieved as it looks like I will not have to take the shot as it most likely was not ectopic. Hope everyone else has future pregnancies that take, That is what I am focusing on for myself. Hang in there everybody!

Ladies, I had my 3rd Hcg test today and it was 199 at 19 day post IVF transfer at 13 days I was at 21 and at 16 days I was 53 so the 199 was a nice raise and tomorrow I have to go for a sonogram - I am so nervous - I have been spotting for days and days since before the first blood test. Has any one experienced something like this - please let me know!!

Hey guys, I'm really glad to find this site and listen to all your entries. it's very motivating for people who think there is no hope. Last week my hcg level was 19 and 7 days later it was 2100. I am not sure how far I am but they say roughly around 4-5 wks. Hopefully everything will be okay. My doctor is optimistic, but we will monitor it closely. I leave everything in the hands of God.With faith in him, anything is possible. Good Luck to all.

I had my sono and because my numbers are so low they do not think this is a viable pregnancy. The Uterine lining is still there but did not see anything else - I think it might be to early - but there is always a glimmer of hope - I will only give up when my Hcg level drops until then I pray and I pray. I go back on Monday for another draw. Will post again when I get the news on Monday. Thanks for listening and understanding!

I am so glad to have found this site to realize that I am not the only one in this boat. My period was between 5-13 days late (irregular periods have made it difficult to predict) so my Dr sent me for a blood test. It turns out it was postive, but my HCG level is only 28. They are sending me back on Monday for another one to make sure that its increasing as normal. Of course, I am very concerned about this. The research I have done on it is telling me that you shouldnt pay too much attention to the numbers because every person/pregnancy is different. Still, after ttc for a year, I am really concerned and waiting until Monday to get the test and then Tuesday to get the results is going to KILL me. Thanks for listening!

Dawn how far along are you and what are you levels?

Christine i don't know i have been reading alot and it just don't seem to add up i had + test on 11 and went in to dr 13 my levels were 64 they said they were fine then went in wed 15 and my level was 116 said they were rasing normal but then you read some of these and there levels are high and there dr says not good who knows i'm just going to enjoy and hope all goes well!

Amy, Thanks for the reply. I dont get it either. The Dr doesn't seem overly concerned at this point, they just think that I am very recently pregnant. I am trying to brace myself for bad news, but at the same time trying to think positively! When are you due?

i'm thinking feb 19 i m/c may 3 and got pg with no af in between but i know i ovulated 28 so i'm guessing will be 5 weeks sat i'm not reg either so they can't go by may 3 cause then it would 7 wks tue but i got to ob 30th so i hope they will give me ultasound i know my levels are a lot better now then they were when i m/c never seen thing over 48.9

Amy, that would put us at about the same then. I am thinking that if I carry this baby to term, I will be due around Feb 18-20 or so.
