Joker, good luck ttc. You will be pregnant before you know it! I can feel it. I was scared when we started ttc, but look where we are now. Take care.

JOKER-The anxiety is really all in the head. As you know, I was so scared I would hurt something or break something. Just take things slow. My doctor told me that majority of the anxiety is in the head and he was right... After the first few times, you'll get back into it! Try to control your thoughts! This helped me. Unfortunately, I my hormone level was up and we started after 2 months... Lol! Wishing you the best!

Congrats, Ms. Monet. That is so exciting. When is your due date again? I don't get to find out until Sept. 18th what we are having. I cannot wait.

Juliane - September 8

Hi All! Joker - good luck with TTC! I completely understand your anxiety. The anxiety is real, but there is nothing that you can "do" or "not do" to change it. I went through the same struggle... trying to figure out which month would be best for me to get pregnant and then worrying about a lot of "what if's". You will be fine. Like many other have said, we need to detach from our fearsand have faith and trust that it will work out. Or at least try and detach :) I have an appointment with my doctor on 9/17. Not sure what is going to happen... I think she said to draw blood? Does anyone know why they do that? Is it to check your hormone levels? I am a__suming that she will also check to see if the fibroid came back. It doesn't feel like it has grown back and I know it hasn't grown where it was before, because I could feel the hard ma__s through my stomach and that is definately not there. So, it will be interesting to see what she recommends as a next step. I have heard of another test where they insert dye into your fallopian tubes to check for blockage and/or scar tissue. Ms. Monet!! Congratulations on having a boy and a girl! That is so exciting... words hardly capture what great news that is!! Best wishes to all those that are pregnant and good luck to all that are trying!

MSMONET!! CONGRATS!!! WOW! A boy and a girl!!! When are you due! How is everything going so far..or you seeing a specialist or just your usual OBGYN? I'm so excited for you! Keep posting and let us know how you are doing! MelissaK..its time!! Please post and let us know how you are doing and let us know if you had a little baby boy or girl! Such great news all around..I'm truly inspired to get on now and TTC! Can't wait until I join the "I'm pregnant" club :) Julianne good luck with all your tests..I think they are drawing blood to check for hormones and make sure there isn't an issue there....are you going to do the "dye" test? Let me know how that works out. I live in Virginia..and mynext appointment with my doc is end of sept so I doubt i will be pregnant by then since I just stop taking BC end of my last cycle which was end of August...but I guess I was thinking maybe I shouldn't ttc until after I see my doctor because of what I don't know..incase something has grown back or whatever..I'm just so scared that I guess it makes me feel better to think I'm ready but I have to get the "OK" from the doc and do more test and blah blah so this way I can feel like it is due to someone else or something else keeping me back..and not deal with reality that it is me...but I'm still going to TTC this month...I just don't want to think that it will happen. I've been writing so long that I don't remember what I'm talking about :) If this doesn't make any sense just ignore it! MSMONET!! congrats again...I'm so excited for you! Melissak..whats up girl! Everyone else stay strong and hang in there!

Hey everyone..me again...but welcome Sasha..she meant to post her question/comment here but she started a new thread..so I'm cutting and pasting for her... Name: sasha777 Question: Hi everyone. I'm new here. Just started reading the posts and already I'm so excited about good news for many - Ms. Monet - and absolutely love the optimism and spirituality that's flowing! I am 41 and just had a myomectomy four months ago. My amazing doctor removed 46 fibroids from my uterus! I lost my baby eight months prior to my ab myo (at ten weeks) and my doctor wants us to wait a full six months before ttc. That puts us at November. I can't wait until that time comes and I truly know that everything happens for a reason and that God is good all the time! I look forward to getting to know many of you and sharing success stories along our journies. ?

Joker - September 9

Sasha...Welcome. I can't believe it..46 firbroids...did you know you had fibroids before the madness started? I think most of us here had no idea we had them until we got pregnant or couldn't get pregnant. I'm happy you made it through your surgery and are now ready to TTC. I'm there also..along with Julianne who is also TTC. I was told to wait six months also..I didn't have as many fibroids as you...just 4..but two were extra extra large...my understanding is they were extra extra large before I got pregnant and they did nothing but grow while I was pregnant! But anywho...My doc only removed the two large ones...because the 2 smaller ones were..smaller :) and they were low down in my uterus and close to major blood supply vessels so to him and for my uterus it wasn't worth the risk of trying to remove them. Welcome to our board and please post and let us know how you are doing.

hi, i'm new to the forum, i found it looking up fibroids and pregnancy. here is my story. i went in to meet a new obgyn, my husband and i have been wanting to start a family. i figured it would be nice to meet with a new gyno before we get started and find some i was comfortable with. well, come to find out i have three really large fibroid and need to have a myomectomy. i'm still in shock from the news, here i thought i was just going in to to talk with a doc about TTC and would be pregnant in two months no problem. i feel so crushed and scared that i'm not going to be able to ever conceive now. i've been trying to find statistic for pregnancy after myomectomy. I'm worried about scar tissue being a problem and having to wait longer, i'm 30 now and i hear that clock ticking. if anyone has any info i would love to hear it, thanks.

WELCOME GRAYCAT!

Joker - September 13

WELCOME GRAYCAT! Yes finding out that you have fibroids is awful..but look on the birght side..at least you found out now rather than later because the size and locations of the fibroids can cause trouble when you are pregnant..well what did you obgyn say or do you need to do more testing to find out the size and locations and if you will need to get a MYO? Pregnancies after MYO isn't so bad..yes scar tissue can cause a problem..but so can fibroids..just think of it that way..depending on your case you may be better of getting the MYO done. I don't have any statics but from what I have read on the web the chances of having a healthy, little or no complications are GREAT..just read though the postings on here..we have a lot of sucess stories..MelissaK is or should have by now had her baby..by c-section MsMonet is pregnant with twins and so is Sparkette..ms Monet is into her 2nd tri and Sparkette is having twins..and since her last post in July she was in her 2nd also..so she should be in her third or almost there by now..SPARKETTE..how are you? Hopeful24..how are you also..please post and let us know how you are doing.

Hey everyone. Things are going pretty well. I will be 20 weeks next Wednesday. We find out Tuesday what we are having. I cannot wait. I am finally over the morning sickness, but honestly I feel better than I ever have. Graycat, my doctor told me the best time to TTC was directly after my myo because as he put it, I was completely cleaned out. So far so good, the fibroids haven't returned. Hope everyone is doing well!
