Damajuana but what are the chances to even get pregnant after surgery? To me they look to be really small. That's why I am so praying for all you guys who are pregnant, because you are allready there andI know how you worry and how great it is to feel the babies. Goobers can I please ask who was your Dr ? MsMonet are you hanging there ? Sasha777 I will be praying for you too to become pregnant during those 6 months.I will be praying hard.

Ladies I am asking the same question again, did anyone go to surgery without Lupron (the hormones) or I will be only one. That dosen't make me feel very good about it.

sasha777 - October 1

Hi Katarinak...why are you afraid to go to surgery without hormones? I took no hormones prior to my surgery - no lupron or anything. And remember- my doctor took out 46 fibroids!!! God Bless Her!!!! :) My doctor said I needed to heal six months post surgery. In January we will try naturally to get pregnant. If it doesn't happen by the end of June we'll go to IVF or IUI - whatever the specialist at the time says. I am being so hopeful that we get pregnant on our own in those six months. We'll see. Does your doctor want you to wait because of the fact that you lost your angel at 23 weeks? If that's the case, I'd be glad that your doctor is conservative and looking out for the best for you. This was our first baby too. Tell me your age again. I'm sorry- I forgot. Stay positive and get the surgery in the new year Feel good that you even have a surgery date and a doctor who is tryng to preserve your fertility and get you pregnant. And yes...it does always help to get a second opinion. Hang in there! :)

Sasha777 Thank you for your respond. You make me feel little bit better.I will be 32 in November. I am so happy you answered to my question, make me feel better about it. So far what they know from during my pregnancy ultrasound I have 2 big fibroids 10x8cm, but they will hopefully shrink little bit. They grew like crazy during pregnancy. I am scheduled for MRI in December. Sasha I don't know where to go for second opinion. Can I ask who did your surgery ? I would so give a try to another pregnancy before surgery, because a lot of time people carry even with big fibroids full term and I am just so scared, because surgery is so definit for me. What are the chances to get pregnant after surgery ? What if they grew back ? I am JUST SO PANIKY ans SO SO SCARED FROM FUTURE. But aren't we all ? Sasha777 answer to your ? Why so long to wait: if you mean for surgery, because my Dr. is so busy and wants everything in my body to calm down after delivery, if you meat ttc after surgery because he wants me to wait long enought for uterus to heal. I believe it is longer then necesery, but we will se. Frist the surgery. Sasha777 I will be so praying for you and your husband to get pregnant on your own. I now that is the scariest part for all of us. I promisse I will be praying for all of us here. Didn't you think to give one more try to pregnancy before surgery?

Hi everyone..how are you all doing? I'm praying everyone is well. Damajuna, welcome I just have to say you are 100% correct. You have to trust your doctor..this situation is hard enough with all the worries..you have to have someone you trust to at least ease your mind in some way. RU93..I'm so glad to hear from you..hang in there girl and stay intouch. Katarinak..don't worry about not getting any Lupron....I was given Lupron..but Lupron is mean to but you into menopause which is a benefit for women with low iron, it helps to keep your iron level up because you are not losing blood..and it MAY cause the fibroids to shrink..but if your doc did not give you Lupron I would not worry about it..I am anemic so the reason for giving me the Lupron was for my iron level to increase and not go down during my period. Sasha everytime I see that 46..all I can say is Wow..hang in there girl your time is coming...Take care everyone..msMonet I'm thinking about you.... where in the world is MelissaK...girl if you can hear please post something and let us know you are doing great :)

Joker, Thank you for trying to make me feel better about Lupron. I am little bit concerned, because the size of my fibroids. They were 10x8 cm during the pregnancy. I have MRI in December to see how are they. But I am little bit concerned about excesive bleeding, because the size and my Dr. doesn't want to take my blood for blood bank as well, so I just hope he know what is he doing. They were excellent during my pregnancy, so I hope he know what to do. All we can do is to trust them. Joker did anyone checked you for scar tissue or fibroids ever since surgery. My Dr. told me to wait 1 year after as well. It's seems a long time to me, since reading every other Dr. suggesting to ttc as soon as possible. Ms Monet I am so proud of you, that you are hanging there. You HAVE TO make it all the way to the end for ALL OFF US, I am sure we are all praying for you. I am praying for you every night. Just take it easy and BELIEVE. :-)

Hey girls, glad to hear everyone is doing well. Katrina, I did not take Lupron before my surgery either and everything went just fine. I am now 22 weeks pregnant and so far so good (except for the kidney stones in both kidneys), but please keep me in your prayers as I am still super nervous. Ms.Monet, I am glad everything is going well for you. Take care everyone!!!

Hopeful24 I will be praying for you as well I promise. You are over the half way, that is very good, just rest, relax, and BELIVE. I am so happy and proud for all you pregnant girls. You are so a HOPE for all of us, who are just at the begining of the road. Hopeful24 if I can ask who did you surgery, was it laparoscopic and how many fibroids you had prior? I asume there are no fibroids during this pregnancy? you will be in my prayiers with MsMonet. I am so PROUD OF both of you. Thank you for giving us a hope, that it is possible. :-)

damajuana - October 5

Hello to all! Many thanks for your messages Joker and Ms Monet. Katrina I didn´t take Lupron, what is more I don´t even know what it is. I am glad to read that Ms Monet and the twins are doing fine! Hold on tight! You see our prayers can work, eventhough they come from another contient! As all the others have told you, all of you are our hope. Good luck to you too Hopeful also.

I had a myomectomy and had a beutifull baby boy.

katarinak - October 5

Adrianak I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. And Thank you for letting us know and giving us hope, which is so important in all our situation. Ddid you have laparoscopic MYO or abdominal MYO? IVF or naturally ? Cesarian or v____al birth ? How long after MYO you got pregnant ? Was your beautiful baby boy ful term? Are you planing to have more babies ? No more fabroids after MYO ? I have a feeling it is way easier to gp after laparoscopic. I am so desperate for answer because I am considering my option. I can try to get pregnant again without surgery, go for abdominal MYO (what Dr. suggest, but I think it is extremelly hard after to get pregnant on your own and Im not sure if we have money for other options) or laparosc. I am so SCARED.

Joker - October 6

Hopeful..I'm so gald to hear from you..I'm even happier to know you and MsMonet are doing well...I think about you girls all the time...sometimes I don't even realize I'm thinking about you girls..but I am..I'm so excited for you. I'm hear counting down the time with you. KATA..stop worrying, I know it is easier said than done..and I know you will not stop worrying but don't let it paralyze you..don't let it overcome you..it is ok to be scared and be worried but please don't get consumed by it...Don't worry about the Lupron..on of the reason my doctor put me on Lupron was because I was anemic..always have been always will be..its not just my diet or not taking pills but I have the sickle cell trait which means some of my red blood cells are not shaped properly..so they don't store enough oxygen and iron..so that was really the only reason for the lupron because of my low low low iron..the ONLY thing the lupron did for me was give me HOT FLASHES and stop my period so I wouldn't loose any blood which means I wouldn't loose any iron..it DID NOT SHRINK MY FIBROIDS..Lupron is really not made to shrink fibroids that is just a possible outcome from taking it but not guranteed and it may or may not decrease the chances of bleeding during surgery..do me a favor because I want you to be at ease with this surgery...make a list of all your concerns and questions for your doctor no matter how dumb you may think they are and call your doctor and ask if you can see him/her or e-mail your questions and they can either respond to you in the e-mail or already have the answers when you go to see them..I did that with my doctor because I know they are usually press for time and only schedule so much time for each patient so they may not have time to see you and have you ask questions and then answer them..you know what I mean. I did that with my doctor and I when I went to see him he already had the answers so it gave us more time to dicuss the answers...as for did I get check for scar tissue..nope..my doc just gave me an internal exam, felt for fibroids and told me to go on my merry way..he told me I looked great..medically speaking and my uterus was down to the size of a 6 week pregnancy before the surgery it was 20-22 weeks in size. As for what surgery is better..it all depends on where and the size of the fibroids. If you trust your doctor then you have to trust he/she is doing what they think will give you the best results..if you still have questions sit down with your doc because in the end you have to feel comfortable with the decision.. Go to this website.. myomectomy.net this is from a doctor who does the surgeries..I found it to be a great help to me. I don't think if you have a myo you will need to do an IVF. I think depending on age and how long you ttc after the surgery with no success they might recommend IVF..I am only 27 and I think if I spend the next 6 months ttc my doc won't recommend IVF..you know what I mean? Don't worry too much..I know I keep on saying that but I'm just trying to put you at ease in anyway I can..thats what we are here for :)

sasha777 - October 12

Hi everyone. It's Sasha777. Sorry for being away for a while. I've been reading the posts even though I've been silent. Isn't this baby phenomenon something? It seems like whenever I'm out and about - running errands or whatever and I spot a baby or little child, I just can't take my eyes off of them. I feel like I'm soooo ready to be a mommy. I'll be 42 in April and I pray and hope that this time around, I don't miscarry. But I know that my faith will bring me through any ordeal God brings my way. The waiting part is just as interesting. We're always waiting and so many times, people - me included - want instant gratification. And yet, I know that when my baby is finally in my arms - whenever that day comes - I will be glad that delayed gratification brought me through and it will be "the right exact timing." Okay - just felt like sharing and all of you bring me hope. May your tomorrow be as hopeful as the Blessings that are coming for us all!
